Very caring
She always remembers my issues. I'm not just a person on a file. I am a patient that she cares for. When she moved practices, I literally cried. It's so hard to find Dr's like her that actually listen and care like that. Especially when it comes to chronic pain.

Would definitely not recommend
I would have given a rating of 0 if I could. I've seen Dr. Popat Lewis several times and received no treatment whatsoever. She seems more focused on business than on being a caring doctor. Her primary interest appears to be administering painful injections because they generate more revenue than just a regular visit. Additionally, she insists on scheduling multiple unnecessary appointments for every question you have, creating a frustrating experience for patients. During visits, she displays the least caring manner possible and rushes to leave the room. There's even a tactic where her medical assistant knocks on the door after five minutes, to signal that the doctor needs to move on to the next patient, discouraging further questions. Overall, the staff is unfriendly, and Dr. 'Businesswoman' is one of the greediest, and most useless doctors I have ever encountered.

I have been seeing Dr. Lewis since January. My first seven months were for my back. Due to Dr. Lewis and her referral to Spine Dynamics, I have very little back pain. During my first four months, I had injections from Dr. Lewis to curb the pain so that I could do the therapy. Now my knees are the issue. The end of August, I had my right knee treated with an injection. Today my left knee was not good and received an injection. I highly recommend her. She is honest and direct which I appreciate. But, please know, you need to follow through on recommendations. Teaming with Dr. Lewis is important for success in healing the body from pain.

Dr. Lewis has been treating me for back and hip pain for many years. Her treatment helps and I feel that she has genuinely cared about me from the beginning. I consider her to be an excellent doctor and a great person, too. Her associates that helped me today were very good, too - Randi checked me in and Kim and Kathryn took care of me in recovery.

I've been treated by Dr. Popat-Lewis at Michigan Pain Consultants for a few years. First, Dr. Lewis did an excellent job of diagnosing my condition and then putting in place a plan to validate and treat my lower back pain diagnosis. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend Dr Lewis and staff for treating back pain management.

We have been patients of Dr Lewis for many years (as needed). Without exception her care has been excellent. Both she and her capable staff provide relief from long term pain issues. She listens, asks the right questions, then makes sound recommendations. 5 starts.

Been having daily uninterrupted headache and 2-3 migraine for a month for over 3 years, it has gotten worse and I am puking on half of the days of the week, can't concentrate well, fatigued, and in pain constantly. The doctor says I play videogames too much @ 3-4 hours a day and that my pain is because of the blue light. Little does she know that my glasses have blue light protection, I have flux installed on my computer to protect from blue light and I had quit videogames for a year previously and this condition persisted. She then changes her beat and tells me to go 3 months on an elimination diet without dairy, gluten, and sugars. She then tries to tell me that gluten, dairy, and sugar is not good for ANYONE. Try putting yourself in someone elses shoes for once, Bindu Popat-Lewis DO, you may be amazed to find out that your fairy tale ideas in your head dont measure up to real life, what's next are you going to ask me to do reiki, and buy some gem stones with healing energies.

Dr Lewis looks patients in the eyes, listens to what we are saying, and you just know — she cares. Chronic pain is not easy to deal with, and she will roll with the ebs and flows with you. The world needs more empathetic doctors like Dr Lewis!

At first I was happy to have what seemed some hope after a rapid decline with severe sciatica and pain due to spinal degeneration. After 3 visits the staff and physician seem rather dismissive and indifferent. Truly disappointed and frustrated.

First, the waiting room is very organized and efficient. They have a computer check in which works quite nicely. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Popat-Lewis took time to understand my health problem an my concerns. She spent plenty of time with me and my treatment was scheduled during the same visit. I spent some time at physician's officesI would I would rate this amongst the best.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Popat-Lewis?
My appointment was very rushed so I was not confident in her understanding of my concerns and therefore don't have trust in her treatment suggestions. Nurses gave me conflicting information about my procedure and were very unprofessional talking about other patients in the hallway. My procedure and future treatment options were not explained well to me. I would not recommend Dr. Lewis to anyone. It took 8 weeks to schedule an initial appointment.
