Dr. Bina Ahmed, MD

I have been a patient since Dr. Edmund Wroblesky was there, as were my parents. I have been under Dr. Bina Ahmed care. I felt a female doctor would be awesome on the contrary I found her bedside manner very distressing. She has been dismissive in validating my diagnosis of Supraventricular Tachycardia saying oh its your anxiety probably causing those palpitations. On one appt she rolled her eyes and did not validate my concerns of nighttime heart flutters. I tried to change providers was told I could not. I refuse to feel uncomfortable on appts so will be seeking other care elsewhere. And unbelievable she's in charge of Women's Cardiology. I'd rather have a male doctor than her. Very self centered person,doctor.

Excellent caring Dr. Takes her time and listens.

Dr. Ahmed did a Watchman procedure on my mom because of her history of atrial fibrillation. She was kind, caring, and incredibly thorough. I could not have asked for a better doctor for my mom. I am a physician and know how incredibly rare this type of care is. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Ahmed.

Have been seeing Dr Ahmed for several years. I believe she has a clear understanding of my health circumstances. She is highly qualified, understanding, sympathetic and friendly. I trust her as we make decisions about my care.

I'm writing this because I'm surprised she has some one-star reviews. I'm a 72-year-old male and I have seen lots of doctors over the years. I visited with Dr. Ahmed yesterday and she was wonderful in every way. I am extremely happy that I now have a cardiologist that I can trust. She was upbeat, attentive, very well informed and I left feeling very confident that she will give me the best of care!!

Dr. and Staff are not well coordinated. I have had to coordinate prescription fulfillment between Staff and pharmacy, which takes quite a bit of time and patience. Seems Dr. and Staff are too busy to provide good care and service.

Horrible experience with Dr Ahmed. She was incredibly dismissive and clearly did not care. She refused to do any sort of testing for POTS until I insisted, after which she did so sloppily and incorrectly. It was only after my insistence on doing the testing correctly that my diagnosis was confirmed. Even worse, she offered very little guidance going forward on how to manage my symptoms, didn’t bother to suggest that I see anyone else who may be able to help me better, and despite my debilitating symptoms and very negative impact on my quality of life and ability to function, denied my request for help getting disability accommodations.

TAVR was very successful. Dr Ahmed is talented and compassionate. Aftercare and follow up visits were excellent.

cardiologist santa barbara Waited a month for an appointment. Dr. came in and said so what is your problem? Felt like she barely had time for me and could care less. Went through all the routine procedures. No compassion, no bedside manner. Wow.
