Very friendly and knowledgeable
My 22 year old son was admitted to the hospital for rhabdomyolysis. Dr Patel was very thorough and took the time to make sure all questions were answered. He made sure we understood daily what was happening and what to expect.

Rude! Will never return to St Francis Tulsa if assigned this Dr. Cut patient off while talking-checked patient out with him still talking as if he had dementia. Didn’t listen to problem that family suspected too much carbon dioxide in blood stream. Family got patient home, cut back on oxygen & had him start blowing into brown paper bag to dispel carbon dioxide and within 6 hrs was back to speaking coherently. Will go to St John’s or a Hillcrest in future. St Francis has nothing but contract doctors on staff now..they don’t have enough drs or nurses. You are now stuck in the hallways without pain meds or any assistance for over a day before you can get into a room in the ER department…then it’s another 12 hrs or more to get a hospital room. You get stuck with needles repeatedly because majority can’t draw blood (if your elderly they tell you basically don’t come to the hospital—stay home and die!!) In past father had blood clot following stroke & it dissolved without coagulation, this event Dr more or less irritated due to family refusing blood thinners (per Neuto instructions to refuse due to history of bleeds), so Dr more or less gives depressing instructions to go home and die!! He isn’t God! He is just a rushed uncaring person. Honestly didn’t seem to know to listen to his family and caregivers to his history. All he needed was a CPAP pillow nose cannula for a few hours. We went home..exercised his left paralyzed leg, elevated his leg high and all the swelling dissipated in 1 day..he didn’t go into the ER with any swelling what so ever!!
