I am a physician myself, and Dr Paek helped take care of my wife and soon-to-be son We had a great experience with her. We had a prior experience with another maternal-fetal medicine specialist who was not as technical or detailed, and requested a second opinion with Dr. Paek on the recommendation from a friend We loved Dr. Paek. Our most important goal was to learn more about the health of our son. We found Dr. Paek very thorough (e.g., she carefully reviewed the results of the ultrasonographer, and then double checked parts of the ultrasound herself). She was very good at contextualizing her findings. Even though I am a physician, MFM is not my specialty, and I thought Dr. Paek did a great job in terms of making sure we could understand the language she was using and understanding the significance of her findings We also found her pleasant to interact with

Dr. Paek was very judgmental and condescending. If she were a qualified doctor, she would know that ultrasound during late pregnancy could not provide 100% accuracy for fetal weight prediction. Yet, she would never tell you the error rates, and used the measurement to belittle patients. Her comments on the ultrasound report were extremely judgmental and mean spirited, which showed she had very little respect for patients.
