Was severely depressed and planning suicide when seeing Dr. Housman. (A loved one made the appointments and drove me to them.) Her attitude ranged from polite disinterest to active hostility. She mostly just told me I was making up or exaggerating my problems, which I now know isn't how therapy is supposed to work. At the time it made sense and encouraged me in my plans to kill myself. She would get visibly angry when I told her the medications she prescribed weren't helping.
