No longer a patient
At my last visit with Dr. Friedland, I should have been referred to a cataract surgeon. I was not. I got an incorrect prescription for new glasses, which only strained my eyes. The tech who performed the eye exam complained the entire time about the equipment not working properly. I finally got an appointment with an optometrist, who immediately said that I needed cataract surgery, which I got. Post-cataract surgery, my vision is amazing. All attempts to communicate about this issue with Dr. Friedland were futile. My request for my medical records was dismissed. This is unfortunate because I'd been a patient for decades and even took my son to her practice for an eye issue.

Helped with emergency allergic reaction
Dr. Friedland and her staff were so kind and amazing. I had a horrible allergic reaction involving my eyes and I did not have an appointment or was even a current patient. I got their early when they opened and they fit me in which I was so very thankful as it helped ease my miserable eye condition when I needed help right away. So thankful for them and their great patient care and not turning me away in a time of need.

Dr. Friedand (Park Ophthalmology) was fine; I only saw her once and she seemed ok. However, her office manager, Jenny is an officious, arrogant, picayune individual who is nearly totally incompetent. She talks down to you as if you're 6 years old, gives incomplete, misleading instructions and then claims that you didn't understand her. Today, I came to their office for my appointment for a for cataract surgery pretest, scheduled 10 days ago. They said they didn't get the referral until yesterday, so they didn't have an appointment for me! Jenny claims she told me that the appointment was"provisional" pending receipt of the referral. SHE DID NOT. She went on to claim that their office had to call Humana to get a referral because I didn't do so. THIS IS A LIE. I immediately called Humana for the referral. Jenny said I had to make another appointment and that the surgery would have to be after Jan 1. I told them what I thought of them and left. NEVER USE PARK OPHTHALMOLOGY

Our entire family sees Dr. Friedland. She is attentive and very knowledgeable. My daughter had an incident at school and a tree branch hit her eye, Dr. Friedland was in surgery when I called, but called me back as soon as she finished and offered to meet us after hours to see our daughter.

I have been seeing Doctor Friedland for years. She is an excellent doctor who cares about her patients. She is always up on the latest news in eye care. I don't think you can find a better ophthalmologist.

I was very surprised to overhear how disrespectful my grandfather was spoken to by this doctor. My grandparents have been going to see Dr. Beth R. Friedland for as far back as I can remember (10+ Years). The way she spoke to him was completely unacceptable! He is 91 years old and speaks very little English. She raised her voice and refused to translate to me what her findings were. She mentioned she would call me after she was finished we her charts and of course I received no call.
