Dr. Bernardo Cortese, MD

Dr. Cortese is, hands down, one of the best physicians I’ve ever encountered. We met during a very stressful moment in life, after learning I had a complex blockage of one of the most important arteries in my heart. My previous physician told me that my only options were complex stenting (which would require lifelong blood thinners and pose its own risks) or open heart surgery. In hoping for other options, I researched the world experts in treating my condition, which is how I found Dr. Cortese.He has published hundreds of research papers and run clinical trials across the world. Despite his accomplishments, he is an incredibly humble and kind man: he cared for me, he cared for my family, and for those reasons, I put my heart in his hands (all too literally!)I’m three months out of my procedure, and I’m thrilled to report that my cardiac function has completely returned to normal! I avoided stents, I avoided surgery, and it’s because of Dr. Cortese. I cannot recommend him enough.
