Dr. Bernard Douglas, MD

I have been ruminating on my last encounter with Dr. Douglas and decided that I need to leave a review and move on. If I’m being honest, I’ve never been a big fan of Dr. Douglas. I don’t care for his bedside manner. If you’ve ever allowed your child too much screen time, or not forced enough dairy products on them and have been to a well check at Beyond Care Pediatrics, then you probably know what I mean. My children and I have always dreaded going to checkups and always leave feeling judged and reprimanded. This last encounter though, was far worse. I took my son there to discuss help for his ADHD. We went in desperate for some direction and left feeling hopeless. Not to get in too deep in this review, we were basically told that he is lazy and unmotivated, and he just needed to try harder. Somewhere during all of this Dr Douglas also point blank asked if my son has any male influences in his life.See the rest of my review on Google.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Douglas. I'm not sure I would have made it through the first few weeks of motherhood without his guidance and parenting tips. It is clear that he genuinely cares about his patients because he keeps up to date with the latest medical practice recommendations by attending conferences and reading medical journals. He is kind, smart, and patient - all the qualities a parent would want in a pediatrician.

Dr Douglas is absolutely wonderful!!! My son went years with respiratory issues that were diagnosed as bronchitis, cold, flu etc. I finally switched pediatricians to discover that he had severe allergies that was causing asthma which untreated was turning into other severe issues. Dr Douglas takes time to educate the parent and he is always extremely thorough. He makes my boys feel at ease when they are in his office. We are huge fans of Dr Douglas!!
