Dr. Bernard Alpert, MD

21 years later, I'm writing a review resulting from Dr. Alpert's name surfacing recently. I needed a face lift in 1999, resulting from too much Los Angeles sun abuse. I was 62 years old at the time and now, at 83, I'm still so happy with the outcome. Dr. Alpert is TOP NOTCH

Dr. Alpert and his staff are wonderful and I feel fortunate to have learned of his practice. I had an upper blepharoplasty and am extremely happy with the results and have been pleasantly surprised with the recovery. I am an OR nurse and did my research on who to go to and Dr. Alpert's name always came up. I do know 2 others that have been to Dr. Alpert and the results are very natural and subtle and they are also happy patients. I honestly could not be happier with the results and it has only been 3 weeks.

He's amazing. Easy recovery and no one can tell I had lacework. They just think I look good. That's what you want, eh? Nice staff and Dr. Alpert is a nice guy not like your usual high handed surgeon. He's the opposite.

I had a facelift with bad results. When I went back and complained he denied the asymmetry. Everyone can see it. It’s obvious. Then I talked to other people who experienced the same thing where there was asymmetry after their face lift including deformed ears and the Surgeon says they “don’t see it”. Plastic Surgeon’s online when asked these questions will say... Go back to your surgeon, they should fix it for little or nothing. Nope. Not Dr. Alpert. He’ll just say he doesn’t see it and make you feel like you’re the problem. Don’t do the surgery. It’s not worth risking deformity. I’m heartbroken over it and all I can do at this point is make others aware so they don’t do the surgery.

Dr Alpert did a great job on my eyes. He is a very skilled and extremely kind and caring surgeon. The office is great from reception to his nursing staff. They made the whole surgical experience easy and stress free. They were flexible and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful plastic surgeon whom I totally trust and admire. I thank him and his staff for a beautiful surgical result.

I grew up in Southern California where plastic surgery is common as sun screen is necessary. That being said, those who have gone "under the knife" usually look like they have been altered. I have always taken good care of myself and began to notice that age was creeping up on me regardless of what I could do holistically to keep myself together. I had a consultation with another plastic surgeon in SF who had a laundry list of things he could do and suggested that I should do. Honestly, it was frightening. I then reached out to Dr. Alpert. I told him I didn't want to look different, I just wanted to look like me, but younger. He listened, he agreed and now, I do look 20 years younger, without looking like I've been under the knife. Perfect results.

I was referred to Dr. Alpert by 2 friends who had had face lifts in the past - and they looked amazing and natural. When I decided to have this done I of course came to Dr. Alpert. Not only is he a brilliant surgeon he is also just a very nice and good person. Everything was clear and explained and any questions I had were always answered thoroughly. My face now looks rejuvenated and younger - but completely natural - that is one of Dr. Alpert's incredible skills. Plus Dr. Alpert has a wonderful team who all are professional, nice and friendly. If you ever are looking to have any plastic surgery done there is no reason to look elsewhere! My results are incredible and I couldn't be happier.

I was referred by someone I knew had seen Dr. Alpert. I loved her outcome for lower bag removal and I only new she had it done because I had photographed her so often. Dr. Alpert gave me the exact recommendations I had hoped for. He didn't try to sell me on more cosmetic work than I needed. That was one of the most important reasons I went with him. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, especially given the fact that I was in a bit of a time crunch for getting my surgery completed before a busy work schedule. I would highly recommend Dr. Alpert and his team for your surgical needs. He "gets" it. He has a great artistic eye!!!

Dr. Alpert's practice is amazing - everybody gets 5 stars! Dr. Alpert's demeanor, bedside manners and experience show through from the very first visit. He was straight forward regarding the procedure and willing to answer every single question. All the milestones he suggested - when to go back to work,when to start exercising, were realistic and came through as he said. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend him. Best of all, the surgery didn't change my face and the results look very natural.

Unlike other consultations I had been to, Dr. Alpert initially thought I wouldn't need my desired procedure. He assessed my face from multiple angles to make sure it was the best option. The surgery itself and the initial recovery flew by with almost no pain or discomfort. Two months post-op and I'm extremely happy with the results I'm seeing so far. My transformation looks amazing and extremely natural - thanks to Dr. Alpert!

I knew if I ever had cosmetic surgery Dr. Alpert would be my choice for surgeon. when I first met him I was impressed with his honesty, naturalness and I felt he was truly a genuine person. I completely trusted him for his skills as a surgeon. Also, importantly, aesethetically he was the one I wanted for my surgeon. From the beginning I had great support from his team, nurse and assistants.They were/are professional, intelligent,available and helpful with every detail pre and post surgery.

I can't say enough about Dr. Alpert, Susan, Catherine, Rochelle and Dana. First of all, the results from my lift were what I dreamed of but not sure were possible. Six days after surgery I was able to go out. No one has noticed (except friends who knew and they think the results are remarkable) and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Everyone in the office without exception was consistently kind and patient; with a welcome balance of professionalism and warmth. Thank you, thank you!

Face Lift, 10 years later and everyone is still surprised when they ask my age.

This is the honest truth... I had a lower face lift 6 months, my experience start to finish was the best... Dr. Alpert was the only doctor I went to for my consultation. I knew right away that I wanted him to perform my surgery. Dr. Alpert office staff, nurses, the hospital, my night nurse were all wonderful. I can not say enough about my experience and yes I had other procedures that were not successful or pleasant.

From start to finish, working with Dr. Alpert and his wonderful staff was a total pleasure. I had a face lift and lower eye surgery and am over the moon pleased with my results. I was guided every step of the way by Dr. Alpert and his office nurse and staff which eased the process. I had no side effects from anesthesia or the surgery and healed quickly and without pain . I would recommend Dr.Alpert to anyone who wants a natural, refreshed look. Best thing I every did!

I am 6 days post face/neck lift and upper eye procedures and am amazed how easy it all has been. Dr. Alpert is confident without being arrogant, has a great sense of humor and bedside manner and is also a very skilled surgeon. Just ask any of the nurses at CPMC, and they will rave about him. I had minimal discomfort and hardly any bruising. I am pleased beyond my wildest dreams. I look like me, but better! And it doesn't stop there! His office staff is GREAT too!

From many sources of recommendations, I was very excited to have an eyelid surgery and lower face and neck lift with Dr. Alpert. He is a true master of his skill and the stitching and details were done flawlessly.
