She's rude. She has literally called me 'the herpe' because I have tested positive, even though I've never had any herpes outbreaks or cold sores. She literally chewed me out and said that her patients are not promiscuous, when I asked to be tested for STDs. I had to tell her that my husband cheated on me to get her to perform the STD tests! Also, she insists on being present in the room while getting dressed after a pelvic exam. If that's not enough, she's told me that I need a sleep study my last 3 appointments, but did not offer me a referral, because my insurance doesn't require one. I've since asked for a referral. Now she thinks I need to come in for a 4th visit to re-discuss. I have a ton of more examples, but this doctor lacks professionalism and human decency.

I have been seeing Dr. Chatterjee for at least 20 years. I believe she sincerely cares a great deal for her patients and I have every confidence in her decisions as a medical practitioner. It will be a sad day for me when she decides to retire.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Chatterjee?
I have been going to Dr. Chatterjee for three years, and have had nothing but good experiences. But my last visit for a physical was very different. She was is a bad mood, yelled out of the examine room door at staff, left the door open twice while I was undressed on the table, and got upset with me for responding to a question. It really hurt my feelings and I thought "what did I do to upset her"? But later I realize it was not me.
