Unsafe practitioner
Prescribes lithium without making sure that lithium levels are drawn every 3 to 6 months. Which is extremely unsafe!! He is hard to get a hold of

From a long time patient and friend.
Dr. Gaev has helped me deal with my Bipolar 1 disorder for over 31 years. Through the up’s and downs of my condition he has always managed to find a way too moderate the highs and lows. He really has been a life changer. I immensely appreciate everything he has done for me.

I've been with Dr. Gaev for around 5 years now. Finally, after about 4 years, I decided I love this doctor. He is incredibly resourceful, knowledgeable and has helped me beyond words. I am not the easiest patient for sure, but he has always been respectful and reliable. His office is cozy and his assistant is as pleasant as she can be. I very much appreciate them. :)

Often late, very difficult to get a hold of, was not helpful in the least when it came to getting good treatment. Waste of time and money. Would absolutely not recommend.

Not so good. Like a previous responder, Dr Gaev seems to take everything my husband says as gospel but disregards my feelings and observations. I will be taking a break from his treatment. ( And from my husband, too.)

If you're looking for a psychiatrist who listens to you and has your best interests in mind, keep searching because Gaev does not do that. He never once listened to me, rather only cared about what my mother and boyfriend had to say. Never in my life have I felt so betrayed by a doctor. I wouldn't wish his "care" on my worst enemy.

My Internist got fed up with my requests for new and different sleep medicines then reporting back that they didn't work. He finally threw his hands up and referred me to Dr Gaev for sleep, not wanting to deal with that aspect of my care anymore. After years of trouble sleeping, Dr Gaev helped right from the start. It was like a miracle. Internists don't know much about sleep is the bottom line. Sleep psychiatrists do. He was patient, kind, interested, professional, gentle, and effective.

Couldn't see myself sitting in long lines waiting to see doctors after my accident , and he agreed to see me right away. And he did. Never a wait , problem, or cancellation , proceeded with care as urgent and professionally as possible. And I don't give out 5 stars, ever ...
