Disappointed
I was so hopeful that Dr Summerhays would help me; he came highly recommended. One exam after waiting months to see him, MRI scheduled weeks after that. Results posted on Health Connect but he didn't have time to discuss them with me for over two more weeks. The bottom line, I can't help you. o explanation. I was crushed with disappointment. My enduring pain for months didn't seem to be a priority to him.

I am still under his care. Great doctor ! What I like about about this doctor. He explains everything to u and says if you don't do what I tell you. This is what the outcome will be. I needed that with my injury. He slowed me down alot but this is great for me. I will be under his care for couple months yet. I have a really bad foot injury. He is my new foot doctor in Jefferson City area.

Great experience! Dr. Summerhays was very personable and kind. Took the time to explain the results of x-rays and exam of my foot along with the course of treatment that I should take. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Summerhays did a great job of explaining all of the issues my ankle and foot were having. He went over different plans of action. He was very personable, kind and friendly on top of knowledgeable. He listens and remembers and values you as a person. You are definitely not just a number here!

Years of injuries and unlucky gene left me resigned to a life of pain and limited mobility. Now, two reconstructive surgeries later I am standing straight. Dr Summerhays was patient with questions, entertained my opinions, and thoroughly explained each step of the process and the 'whys' of each instruction. MU is lucky to have this talent!

After a negative experience with another doctor (JCMG in JC), I asked around and was given a few names. After reading reviews, I decided to call Dr. Summerhays. I needed a doctor who would treat my elderly mother with kindness, respect and would do what was best for her. All I can say is that her experience was fantastic from beginning to end. He completely changed her surgery plan to do what was best for her (easier recovery and less danger to her heart). I highly recommend this doctor!

All of the staff at MO Orthopedic Institute are wonderful! Dr Summerhays took the time to answer all my questions in a way my husband and I would understand. Very pleased with how I'm healing after surgery. Would definitely recommend Dr Summerhays and MOI.
