Dr. Benjamin Saviet, DPM

Dr. Saviet relies exclusively on his digital foot scanning device to order his expensive orthotics. However, he doesn’t check their usefulness by actually having the patient stand on the orthotics to see what it does to their ankles, knees or posture. When I told him they were not helping, he gaslit me by saying that I just wasn’t used to them. When I insisted, he did finally agree that the first pair were wrong, but his solution was to have me pay for yet another pair of expensive orthotics. Those were no better so I gave up and saw a different podiatrist. The new podiatrist actually looked at me standing on my feet and his immediate reaction was to ask if I had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. EDS is a connective tissue disorder which has a lot of distinctive symptoms around the feet which any competent podiatrist should know about. Turns out that I do indeed have EDS (confirmed by a geneticist). Dr. Saviet was a total waste of time and money who doesn’t listen to his patients. Go elsewhere.

X. rays showed me the cause of my pain and the Dr. Saviet gave me a clear road map for healing: PT, icing, rolling the calf, stretching and night 'cast'.The information sent to my inbox was VERY helpful. Dr. Saviet was excellent. He listened to what was hurting in my foot, how and when the pain started, and asked me some specific questions in regards to the injury. He then examined my foot and thoroughly explained the cause of what turned out to be tendinitis. I was especially impressed with his patience and how he explained the problem so that I could understand it. In addition, I appreciated the detailed explanation and copy of how to treat the injury and how he forwarded me videos to give me visuals on how to treat it. He also understood that, as someone who runs everyday, the recovery process can be frustrating and offered options to stay active while still helping heal the injury. I highly recommend Dr. Saviet.

Dr Saviet was a very sharp guy. I saw him to find a solution to toenail fungus, but he determined that my condition is not due to fungus, but instead a problem with the structure/ geometry of my feet/toes. Orthotic inserts are the solution. I highly recommned this doctor. A previous podiatrist and primary care doctor had me apply fungus killer for a year with no luck.

Dr. Saviet is a rare mix of being incredibly smart and incredibly compassionate. He took the time to really listen to what was going on and figured out almost immediately how to help me. I felt seen and understood and spent the whole appointment feeling blown away by how his assessment matched up perfectly with my lived experience. So often doctors will assume that the patient is doing something wrong, but Dr. Saviet saw me as someone who is doing everything I can to get healthy and being constantly set back by foot and ankle pain - and he reassured me that I can get better! He is not a doctor who says, "Stop doing xyz for the rest of your life, it's causing you pain." Instead, he says, "Let's work together so that you can keep doing xyz without pain." It's truly magical. 5 stars for a fantastic experience. I will be recommending him to everyone I know.

Highly recommended!! Went for a 2nd opinion but wish he was my first. Right on time. Never felt rushed. Answer ALL of my questions. He fully listened and reviewed my MRI with me, showing me where my issues were. He made me feel so much better about what I have to have done, taking away any concern that I originally had. All that and he has a great sense of humor, keeping the entire visit light. Any foot issues for me or my family in the future, he will be our first and last opinion.

Dr. Saviet and the staff were very diligent in asking questions and doing the necessary preparation to provide a good diagnosis. He was very clear in explaining what the issue was, what caused it and how to treat the issue effectively. I was especially impressed that he looked to provide the simplest forms of therapy to see if they work prior to moving on to more complex solutions.

Also I greatly appreciated the numerous articles and videos he provided via email that further explained the root of my foot pain, with specific exercises to address it immediately.
