Benjamin Kamel

Dr. Kamel is the best foot and ankle doctor ever! He is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely competent. I broke my ankle right before Christmas. Dr. Kamel put a pin in to align the bones and make sure it healed correctly, 12 weeks later and I can use my ankle perfectly. I highly recommend him for anyone with a foot or ankle injury.

Even though foot surgery was a very painful experience for the first month, the surgery turned out to be very successful. Dr. Kamel explained everything that was going happen and be done both during surgery and afterwards. My follow-ups went very well, and I've healed quickly and faster than expected. In addition, his Assistant, Julie, was very helpful, as well.

I broke a couple of bones in my foot and was treated by Dr.Kamel. Dr.Kamel was very attentive, in a good mood and took the time to listen to my concerns. After my bones healed he sent me to physical therapy to recover from the muscle loss from being in a boot for 4 months. He made sure I was able to recover properly and then return to work.

It was great to feel like he knew my problem and working to achieve the best possible outcome. Appointment were always quick and I left everytime feeling like I was heard and was in the best care

Found problem and fixed it

I began my visits with Dr. Kamel in the summer of 2022. What we thought may just be some tendon issues turned out to be a torn peroneal tendon. He listened, offered non-surgical interventions, and when those didn't work we ran further diagnostic tests and discovered the tear (which required surgery). The entire team from the front office at Garey Orthopedic, assistants and surgical team were fabulous. They followed up, always had a smile when they saw me, and seemed genuinely invested in my healing. Thanks to Dr. Kamel I am doing great and looking forward to wearing heels in the near future. If I could give Dr. Kamel and his care team more stars I would.

When I tore my Achilles playing sports I didn’t know where to turn as this was my first ever injury. I did my research and found Dr. Kamel when I was looking for a foot surgeon. After reading his bio and seeing his work. I felt comfortable making the appointment. His staff was really great with me and made sure I was taken care of! Once I was able to meet Dr. Kamel he was everything and more when it comes to someone that understands the situation and makes it happen. I was 3 months out to being married and be assured me that I will be able to walk without any assistance. And he kept his promise. If I had to do this all over again I would pick Dr. Kamel again. Thank you Doctor for all you did for me and help me walk again without doubting my future.

Dr. Kamel is knowledgeable in the most current treatments. I’ve seem multiple podiatrist over the past 20 years and he is by far the best one yet! I wish he had done my original surgery… then I wouldn’t have so many issues 20 years later..

Dr. Kamel is one of the nicest doctors I have met. He spent the time to listen to my concerns, related to me in layman terms. It is apparent that he is intelligent and experienced, and cares a lot about his patients. I am so grateful to have been under his care, I no longer have ankle pain!

Excellent experience with Dr. Kamel. A previous Podiatrist had attempted to excise a tumor from the bottom of my foot and failed to get it out. Dr. Kamel successfully excised what turned out to be a rare type of tumor, and recovery was quick and fairly painless. Highly recommend him.

Dr Kamel is extremely knowledgeable and a respected expert, yet it's his compassion, care and genuine kindness that earns him beyond 5 stars. I've felt as though I would receive the exact treatment if I was his own mother. Especially now that is Extremely rare.

Had neuropathy and ankle issues. Didn't spend much time with me. Diagnostic my ankle problem as a soft tissue problem by only tapping on my ankle and looking at only an x-ray. I feel he should have ordered an MRI for a more accurate diagnosis. Gave me medicine that I specifically said that I didn't want. Seem to know what my insurance will cover better than l do. Asked for a prescription for custom orthotic. Said my insurance didn't cover them. Had small discussion about my insurance and he was adamant this issue. Called my insurance and they said it was a covered item. I do not have a lot of confidence in him going forward. Will seek another opinion.

Dr. Kamel is one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. He spent the time to listen to my concerns and addressed every single one. He is one of the newer doctors at Garey Orthopedics, but he is clearly knowledgable, experienced, and has amazing bedside manners.
