Dr. Gierl has been great over the last 2 years that I've been seeing him. Always gets me in on schedule and takes his time to listen. I'm happy to have found him.

I was looking for a new doctor (my other retired). While I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly, the appointment itself was a farce. He charged me over $200 for about ten minutes of disruptions, phone call, and distractions, or was it disinterest? However, he was very interested in having me stop taking one of my old prescriptions immediately, start taking Latuda, and not much else. Staff made no mention of accepted insurances or payments, only for me to receive a ridiculous bill.
What went well
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Staff wasn't friendly
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

I have been seeing Dr. Gierl for a while but he has only really made changes to my meds through the times I've had to be hospitalized and another doctor has decided to change them. So this most recent time I came in on Adderall and Emsam (among many others) and a blood pressure medication that I didn't know much about except that it was supposed to lower side effects of another med. SO Dr. Gierl takes me off of the blood pressure medication. Turns out without it, I can have a stroke and die. :)
