Worst doctor I’ve ever seen.
I was bedridden with autoimmune Sjögrens/maybe Lupus as a single mom, disabled desperate for help. Dr. H was the most tone deaf, demeaning doctor I’ve ever some across and I’d been sick several years. I had done my research and she shrugged me off and if I had taken her advice (do nothing - eat more protein???) I’d still be dia led to this day. She went so far as to send me a letter telling me I needed to basically get in line and not ask questions - if I had, I’d still be disabled. Thank God I found good medical care please don’t see this terrible physician. I worked 22 years with docs, I know the good one and she is a dead end road to continued ill health. I hate to see docs in the field that don’t belong - that’s her. i waited 4 years to post this to be sure I wasn’t just overreacting. RUN.

Great Dr. But...
I saw Dr Hanaoka a few years ago at UAB. She's fantastic! I wild drive 80 miles one way to see her. That's how much I liked her. I went to her for my second opinion. And, remained under her care for the next 10 months - 1yr . She just up and moved. No notice or anything! That really stressed and depressed me because I felt that I had finally found a reliable dr to treat my Lupus. I don't want to make the mistake of making all of the changes I made in order to be under her care. Only to be left in lurch!
