Dr. Basem Jassin, MD

I am a past patient of the doctor. He performed sinus surgery for me in 2008. I called his office today due to reoccurring ear infections and because I don't have insurance and would be a CASH pay patient, I was told he could not see me. Their office only takes people with insurance and will not take a CASH pay patient. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

My wife forced me to come because of snoring. Dr. Jassin was very thorough and I was evaluated for sleep apnea, which I did not have. He told me that there was a lot of blockage in my nose and sinuses which was making me breathe through my mouth at night. I had an office procedure which helped to open my nose and helped with the snoring. It was not as scary as I thought it would be.

Very glad I came to see Dr. Jassin. My friend advised me to go after I was constantly complaining of a stuffy nose and itchy eyes. I have been taking allergy medicines for years, so I thought I was already doing everything to treat this. I was wrong. Dr. Jassin did allergy testing and I started allergy shots and it has been an amazing experience. I feel much better. I wish I had gone sooner.

Wonderful doctor and staff. I had been having voice problems for over 6 months and had seen another ENT doctor who told me I had acid reflux and did not want to see me again for another 6 months. I decided to go see Dr. Jassin instead. He looked in my throat with a light and told me I had a movement problem with one of my vocal cords. He then referred me to another doctor that treats singers. I can’t recommend this office enough.

I got up and saw the whole room was spinning. I went to my doctor and she gave me Meclezine but it did not help. She then made an appointment for me with Dr. Jassin. His office staff was wonderful and the doctor rotated my head in a certain way that helped get rid of the dizziness. I am now going to take my elderly mother to go see him.

I slowly lost hearing on my right ear. My doctor have me two courses of antibiotics and allergy medicines but it just got worse. I went to see Dr. Jassin and he made an incision in my ear and removed the fluid and I could hear. I was very impressed and the office staff were very polite.

I was having nose bleeds and went to see Dr. Jassin. He looked in my nose and told me I likely had allergies and also saw a place that was causing the bleeding he used a long matchstick to heal it. Great doctor and great office.

I went to see Dr. Jassin because I kept getting repeated sinus infections. My family doctor would give me antibiotics and I'd get better but then the infections would come back. Dr. Jassin said the antibiotics I was given were good but that I needed to take them for longer. He put me on antibiotics for a whole month and also gave me some other medicines. Afterwards, I felt much better from my sinuses and my eyes even felt less tired. I’m also getting allergy shots once per week. I'm very happy.

I live in Dallas and I am so happy I came all the way to Ennis to see Dr. Jassin. A friend at work who lives in Ennis saw me struggling with allergies and told me how he was doing better after getting allergy shots. I told him I had been tested years ago and I was told I needed allergy shots but I just didn’t have time to go three times a week for shots. He told me that Dr. Jassin does allergy shots only once a week and so I decided to see him. I'm very happy with the results.

I have had pain on my forehead and pressure for several years. My family doctor kept insisting it was migraines. A friend recommended I go see Dr. Jassin. He looked in my nose with a camera and saw that my sinuses were blocked. I never had any nose blockage so I didn’t think I had sinus problems. He was able to open the sinuses in the office using a sinus balloon and it made a huge difference. I can even breathe better now. I called for an appointment 08/01/18 & was told they are booked until October & to call back then. I had seen Dr. Jassim in 2016. He was kind, knowledgeable, & professional. His staff doesn’t seem to have the same professionalism. I called a couple of weeks ago because of an ear infection & he was out of the country for an unknown amount of time. I saw a PCP. Wanted to follow up with a specialist, who I had seen before because I have a surgical ear. Who can wait 3 months for an infection f/u?

I had pain on the left side of my face and cheek for many years. My family doctor dismissed it as migraines. I went to see Dr. Jassin who looked in my nose and saw a small cyst blocking my sinuses. He removed the cyst in the office it finally relieved my pain. I'm very grateful. His office staff is extremely attentive and the Dr. is very caring.
