Dr. Basem Alkurdi, MD

After driving 2 hours to make it to our appointment my cousin missed her 10 minute grace period by 3 minutes. She apologized profusely and explained she has been in the process of making arrangements to bury her mother who passed away unexpectedly the day before. He still refused to see her I get there’s a schedule and there other patients but this seemed unnecessary and just plain wrong. If you have an appointment here whatever you do don’t be late there will be no exceptions made!

I was transferred to Tampa General and Dr. Allkurdi was a heaven sent! From his bed side manner & his compassion for his patients. He explains eveeything and makes you feel at ease. I kept forgetting his name so I started calling him Dr. Suit because of his impeccable dressing. I know I'm in good hands with him as my doctor! Big shout out to the 2 nurses on his team that held he up through it all. Jamie & Nicole I couldn't of done this without you by my side. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Dr. Alkurdi was very encouraging and thoughtful in his discussions. He explained what was needed throughly while going over step by step.

My visit was very good. All questions were answered in a very intellectual and yet very simple for the average person to understand. I found all the staff as well as the doctor to be very kind which gave me family feeling; this made me very comfortable.

Dr. Alkurdi fully explained phases of testing in easy terms and was very thorough. was not hurried and answered all questions. His staff was also very thorough in getting all phases of meds and history. Would refer him to friends or other family members if needed.

Dr. Alkurdi is an exceptional doctor. I took my sister to see him after she was diagnosed with end stage liver disease. He and his nurse helped us understand my sister’s condition and possible treatments. They were knowledgeable, thorough, and clear, and also were compassionate and respectful listeners who answered our questions patiently. I believe my sister has the greatest chance of living under Dr. Alkurdi’s care and I am thankful for people like him who are dedicated to saving lives.
