Listens, understands and very supportive
I could fill this page with wonderful things to say but here are the highlights. She diagnosed me right off the bat when no other doctor had a clue as to why a gallon of water a day wasn’t enough. She addressed all of my issues (there were many) and with empathy as though she was my girlfriend. She found I was taking medications that were making my mouth so dry and changed them around. I walked into her office in tears and left with hope. A month later and I hadn’t felt that good in months. I feel respected and understood by Dr. Soltes. Lastly, she doesn’t rush you out of the office, she will discuss all of your concerns.

Traumatizing
I saw Dr. Soltes for many years. I saw her for endometriosis and hashimotos. Her blunt bedside manner was always bothersome, but I knew I was in good hands. Most recently, the day before Christmas eve, when getting my first ultrasound for my first pregnancy, she looked my partner in the eyes and said she hated to be the bearer of bad news. That there was no heartbeat and this was not a viable pregnancy. And they sure didn't forget to put that $450 credit card charge in front of me, to swipe on my way out while I was sobbing. The next day, Xmas eve, she sent me for confirmation at the hospital and her office assured me she would call me despite the holiday. The tech at the hospital apologized for our trauma, while showing us the strong heartbeat. She said 'the baby is measuring just as it should'.Dr. Soltes called 2 days after Xmas, unapologetic for her wrong information, and tried to convince me not to see a different doctor.I should've stopped seeing her long before this

The best doctor for women’s health
I’m no longer a patient because I moved out of the area. I’m writing this review because I have not found another doctor as good as Dr. Soltes. Years ago I was referred to Dr. Soltes from another doctor who was helping me with tremendous pain. In that first appointment Dr. Soltes was able to diagnose my endometriosis, something that I had been struggling with for years and no other doctor could diagnose. She performed laparoscopic surgery and then got me into a care regimen. She changed my life. I stayed with Dr. Soltes for 10 years & she handled my routine care.Dr. Soltes has a wonderful bedside manner. She is extremely knowledgeable, answers questions, and takes time with you. The only thing I would caution is that years ago she had a habit of running behind and not calling to let you know. While at the time that was annoying, I now realize that the quality of care I received was worth waiting for her. As the old saying goes, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”

I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Soltes. I did some research and figured out on my own my diagnosis. I found a reputable and skilled surgeon at Loyola who agreed with me regarding my diagnosis. He said that my blood work alone told him that I had primary hyperparathyroidism. My symptoms also lined up with the disease. Dr. Soltes on the other hand diagnosed me with secondary hyperparathyroidism and wanted to put me on a pharmaceutical drug instead. No one has ever lived past 20 years with primary hyperparathyroidism. Based on my kidney stone history, I had the diseased adenoma for close to 15 years. That was back in 2014. It’s 2021 and had I listened to Dr. Soltes, I’d most likely be deceased. I attempted to contact her regarding my case, but she had the audacity to tell me that she did everything right. I don’t need prideful doctor’s treating me. I only brought this to her attention as I was hoping she wouldn’t make the same mistake twice with other patients as I hate to see anyone suffer. ??

Something is really off here. She claimed my thyroid was enlarged ( i know it is not) she claimed i needed pelvic floor therapy for a prolapsed bladder ( i dont have that condition) and holds bizarre myths about menopause. That it makes one gain belly fat and causes weight gain and insulin resistance. ( not at all medically correct) and that and the worst thing is she referred to a d and c as a * good cleaning out* inappropriate language for a woman's health provider to use. Its crude and could give a medically naive woman the impression she was * unclean*. Then she doctored the notes claiming i was getting multiple HRT scripts and using HRT erracticly when ive been on the same HRT dose from my internist for almost two years. She claimed this was the reason i would need a d and c. Another gyne did an ultrasound and said everything is fine and i just need to take a higher dose of progesterone in the HRT patch. This woman is bad medicine.

Excellent physician!!! Disgard reviews on people who can’t even spell their doctors name correctly. Especially after seeing her for a year!

I'm writing an update to another review I posted. After seeing her for over a year, she recommended I see another RE for more advanced care. I was totally OK with that & followed her advice. In seeing the doctor she referred me to, I found that she missed a huge red flag in my blood work. She treated me, although this test indicated that the treatment wouldn't work & would make the end goal less likely with each passing day. I know we all make mistakes but recommend finding another Dr.

Saw Dr Soles 12/6/2017 rountine visit - had transvaginal ultrasound / told I needed endometrial biopsy - done without written informed consent on 12/7/2017. Developed symptoms of endometrial infection - Dr Soltes referred me to NP - today - 8 days after procedure, diagnosed with endometrium - serious adverse event . Also learned that endometrial thickness on transvaginal was 4 not 7 as told by Dr Soltes. DO NOT SEE this physician unless prepared for events such as the ones I ended up with!!
