Dr. Barbara Slager, MD

Dr. Slager is not my usual provider, but I had an emergent issue and got scheduled with her. She was knowledgeable, kind, and empathetic. She listened carefully to my symptoms, made a skilled diagnosis, and reassured me about my concerns. Incredibly personable and knows what she is doing. Would definitely see her again anytime I need care.

I've never had a worse medical appointment. I left crying because I've never been talked to in such a demeaning way when I tried to (politely) ask questions. Questions don't work for Slager. She loves "protocol" and expects her patients to.... "shut up, listen, and do what your told". If you want to feel like you are in a factory and part of an assembly line than go to Slager. She is an unthinking Bot. I was in shock for a week after...it was hard to believe I was treated so poorly...

I had a terrible experience (twice) with Dr Slager. I’ve never been treated like that by a medical provider. Luckily, I’ve experienced great doctors before and know that there are good docs out there. When I declined a treatment she spent the rest of the appointment almost guilting me and talking very condescendingly. Bedside manner actually matters. I don’t have experience doing surgery with Slager, so I can’t speak to her skills there. But I felt so defensive and stressed at my consult that I will never go back.

She is an outstanding, the best OBGYN Dr you can get around here. Very knowledgeable and humane.
