Dr. Miears, MD is kind and compassionate, a great listener and asks prompting questions to help one think about their circumstances that prompted seeking help in the first place. She genuinely cares for her patients. I can’t imagine seeing another psychiatrist other than her!

After 4 years of visiting her with no problems, she hired a new assistant and when my prescription was not refilled in a timely fashion Dr. miers accused me of being an addict and I was told to “find my speed somewhere else” and then hung up on me. Very unprofessional and rude. Made me feel horrible about myself even tho I had done nothing wrong. I don’t think she should be practicing.

Barbara is the best !! She’s a compassionate listener with understanding and balance. She has a genuine care for her clients to the highest degree . I have called her day/night with one tragedy / trauma after another in my life . She’s always there for advice and never judgmental .I am extremely selective in my mental health care , I will not continue services with “just anyone with a degree” . Baraba goes above and beyond to the highest level and care for her patients with outstanding service and recognition towards each goal set . In a world of uncertain chaos , she’s the light at the end of the tunnel pushing you through .

God help anyone who “crosses” this “dr” . I was betrayed in the most heinous, callous way. I cannot believe she is still practicing. I’ll never forget what she put me through after 20+years.

Dr. Miears is absolutely a wonderful, intelligent, compassionate Doctor!! She KNOWS her STUFF and explains the BRAIN like any other "organ" in your body that gets sick... **How it got sick... ***Shows you on a model of the brain in her office... ***Shows you in her BOOKS of Phychiatry the behaviors... ***Explains to you the warning signs.. From her Books if need be... Then works with you on medication and an outside therapist depending on what is needed... She is ABOSOLITELY AMAZING.. saved me

Dr. Miears is an excellent psychiatrist. She is very knowledgeable in counseling and in prescribing medications. I believe, Dr. Miears really cares about her patients, which she demonstrates by taking the time to understand what is going on with you emotionally and physically. By taking this approach, she is able to provide accurate medication management. I already have recommended Dr. Miears to a friend and a family member.

I have been struggling with psychiatric and other disorders for most of my life. I have seen many doctors, specialists and even spent an hour with a well renowned specialist affiliated with a prestigious medical school. At my first visit I felt as if we had known each other for years. She displayed GENUINE care and concern for the difficult time I was having (calling to check on me!). She gave me back my sanity & quality of life! She is an extraordinary doctor and truly a blessing.
