Looking for new Dr.
I saw the doctor about two months ago and it was so cold in his office that I was shaking. He was all bundled up with sweaters and socks, and I was wearing flip-flops because it’s Florida. My blood pressure showed up extremely high. I’ve never had high blood pressure I think it was 195/90. He prescribed a blood pressure medication for me and since I am not someone that likes to take medication, I came home and took my blood pressure quite a few times and it was normal after doing some research online I read that when you’re cold, your veins can constrict and give a false reading. I have absolutely no blood pressure problems and if I took his advice, I would be on some prescription that I don’t need. The doctor I had been going to for 20 years retired. He always went over every inch of my blood work asked about colonoscopies, etc. Dr. Syed does none of that. I am looking for a new doctor.

Absent
My father has been in and out of Palm Beach Gardens hospital 4x in the past year, each time assigned to Dr Syed. I don’t think he has ever seen him, only his staff. This past weekend one of his staff called me to “interview me” about my father’s medical history. I asked why not review all of your records? Also told them he was in Jupiter medical recently and to also request those records. Never done. She also asked me about a conversation I had with the supervisory nurse on duty , which I clarified. Then I read her write up and all it was was her defending her actions (mostly exaggerated) and nothing about the details of my fathers care . Also she refused to answer any of my questions regarding care , prognosis, etc. After 7 minutes I ended the call. No wonder the reviews are so bad. Should not be allowed….

NO STAFF COMMUNICATION
In all the years I've been with Dr. Syed's office, I only saw him once when in the hospital. His PA Chris Hamper was the best! But I heard today Chris is no longer there. And the office failed to give Dr. Syed a very urgent message. I'm very leary going forward with this office.

Dr. Syed
Dr. Syed MD is a great Doctor, his PA Chris Hamper is also Excellent. When it was moved to Convina (that was bad) I've been in both hospitals multiple times and no issues, daily visits. I see Chris & he is top notch he knows more than most physician's & takes very good of me.

Beware
Dr. Baqir Syed is an abysmal hospitalist. He should be summarily terminated from his hospitalist duties at the hospitals where he unfortunately "practices" medicine. He does not even utilize the x-rays, CT scans, labs, and other tests taken when making decisions. He does not look at them or examine the patients under the care of his medical group. You are better off with his P.A. Chris Hamper. Dr. Sayed is a medical malpractice lawsuit waiting to happen (he has several publicly available lawsuits filed against him). He should be on the next plane leaving for Karachi with his U.S.A. deportation papers in hand. Run, don't walk to the nearest exit, should you encounter this rude, arrogant, and dismissive little man!

Shady. Baqir Syed billed for a non-service, and after we investigated, his billing company admitted the error and refunded and/or dropped all billing charges. Even though we were at a hospital for a procedure which was just a few hours, the hospital charged us $4200 for "room and board." We investigated this bogus charge, and dug deep, and they admitted it was an error. The hospital (Palm Beach Gardens MC) blamed Baqir Sayed. We also learned he'd billed us an additional amount for what he vaguely called "hospital medical services." Baqir Syed's billing company didn't know what those charges meant, either (when we asked formally, the QMC Cares billing specialist said it was a charge "for him seeing the patient.") Totally bogus. We pushed QMC Cares to ask Baqir Syed, and the response was that Baqir "never physically saw the patient" and all money should be refunded. Baqir provided no service, but Baqir sets up thousands of $ in billing, that we had to catch and expose.

I had a severe allergic skin reaction and needed to be seen as quickly as possible. The office was able to squeeze me in and Dr. Syed was efficient as I shared what had happened and prepared my treatment plan. When I went to the dermatologist 3 days later for a follow up, he told me that he would have done exactly what Dr. Syed did and was impressed by his breadth of knowledge. Very grateful to Dr. Syed!

My husband was admitted at Palm beach medical center and Dr. Syed was ahis physician at the time. This doctor never visited my husband even once or followed up with him. His NP was assigned to my husbands care. I was very disappointed with DR Syed as he never once visited my husband. He is in excruciating pain lying in bed at PBMC with no relief.

I’ve met Dr Syed in the past at other ER’s in Jupiter. Just recently I was seeen by him at PBG Hospital. He was extremely kind & attentive to my condition while in ICU. He visited me daily to assure I was well & informed on my case. A wonderful & kind physician. He helped me greatly & answered all my questions & concerns.

He and his PA's were totally non responsive. We waited 4 1/2 hrs for my 86 yr old mother to be admitted from the ER. We waited 6 1/2 hrs for one of his PA's to discharge. This was after the dr himself and another of his PA's walked past her room and we were told she would be next- next turned out to be another 4 hrs. We will be switching primary care physicians to find a dr who is not an affiliate/referring physician to this group. I would rate a 0 if that were an option.

Dr Sted never came to see my husband after spine surgery not after energency room admittance for highly contagious infection due to spine surgery. We requested him to come and he didn't . He only has his PA Team attend. He makes decisions of care based on reports from PA Team and nurse reports. Once again my husband is being discharged without Dr visit and my husband still has contagious infection; the Rehab location of Rehab, after I insisted the case management no care go anywhere else.
