Dr. Bambi Nickelberry, MD

I felt similar to another reviewer in not wanting to leave such a negative review— but then I realized I had previously left Dr. Nickelberry a five star review when I first started seeing her! And then I realized I needed to update that review because prospective patients should be aware of what kind of care to expect from Dr. Nickelberry. I was a patient for more than three years because, on a positive side, Dr. Nickelberry does accept Medi-Cal insurance. As one might imagine, the facilities are a little questionable. But that’s not the real issue here. Dr. Nickelberry does not listen very well and seems to care more about checking boxes than actually listening to patient’s concerns. On my last visit I was required to come in to refill basic maintenance prescriptions like birth control and acne medication I’ve been taking for 10+ years. Dr. Nickelberry has been my doctor for three years. She popped in for less than five minutes and used that time to assure me she didn’t just need

A doctor who talks to you and listens. Keeps written notes. Focus on preventative care. She is outstanding.

I always look forward to seeing Dr. Nickleberry. She's extremely knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. Whenever I have questions or describe any type of symptom(s) that I am experiencing, she LISTENS attentively and gives me a thorough explanation in terms that I understand. In my opinion, we need more doctors like Dr. Nickleberry who truly cares for her patients and is always willing to go that extra mile to make them comfortable.

Front office receptionist is incompetent period! The Dr. never examined me much less read my chart. but kept sending me to get different blood work done. She was always rushing me in and out and the very last visit was the straw the that broke the camel's back I asked a couple of questions she didn't have time she snapped at me and that was it. She always acted like she was doing me a favor. She seems burnt out.
