Insensitive/ caught an infection
I went to see him for my annual pap smear and it was one of the most traumatic experience i've ever had. He was very dismissive of my pain while he was trying to take a sample and did nothing to make me feel at ease on the contrary, he would not stop when i urged him to and it seemed like he was not even listening to me. I bled during and after which had never happened before and to my horror, i developed a candida infection right after.

Seek care elsewhere
Dr. Arida did my hysterectomy. Lacerated my bladder. Ended up having a catheter for weeks. Pain was/ is so severe. Got a bad infection. His staff is rude and not helpful. Still in pain after months. Had to find a different doctor to help. Have gotten painful red lumps on stomach. He is nowhere to be found and his staff tried pawning me off to a different facility further away. If you value your health and recovery, find a better doctor with a better staff.

Misdiagnosis
Dr Arida doesn’t take the time to fully explain the condition of the disease and withholds information from the patient. He also had me coming in every other month for unnecessary procedures and testing, falsly diagnosing me with a condition i didn't have while also not prescribing the necessary tests that would have made my much more serious condition known. It’s only though another dr that i discovered i had ovarian cancer, while all this time he kept me coming to check on my fibroids and refusing to acknowledge my concerns and requests to conduct further testing.

Would not recommend for a hysterectomy
I had a hysterectomy by him. I thought i had a big incision because of firbroids. Another ob informed me that was ridiculous and that the fibroid had to be huge in that case, which was unlikely. I was not given enough pain meds after I was sent home from the hospital. I was given enough pain meds for 2 days. I was in excruciating pain for 2 weeks. I called the office to get a refill and they refused. He also sent me to an oncologist because of pathology report stating there was an atypical cell in my ovaries. I went to the oncologist, in Pittsburgh, and they said he should have never sent me there without more tests. So I went through all that extra stress and worry for no reason. I was also disappointed that I was not given more information about my aftercare and what to expect after the surgery. I ended up with a very bad infection after surgery, which I wasn't able to even get in to see him for 2 weeks after I was discarged from the hospital.

Dr Arida has taken excellent care of me for several years. He helped me have two children after several miscarriages. I can never thank him enough. He’s the best!
