Didn’t treat cancer
I had an MRI that showed a tumor that was likely a rare cancer. Dr. Ahmed told me it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t want to even follow my case. He only did scans after because I brought up standard of care. He also tried to scare me with out of date medical practices by saying they would have to split my face open. After a couple years I was told he didn’t want to follow my case anymore because he didn’t think it was an issue. I ended up going to a different hospital and was told I was really lucky because if it grew at all, it would have been too late. They ended up doing brain surgery and radiation. He would have been a good doctor if he had admitted his lack of knowledge and sent me to get care elsewhere but that didn’t happen.

I had surgery to remove a pituitary tumor in December of 2021. Dr. Ahmed was the primary surgeon for the transsphenoidal surgery. First and foremost, Dr. Ahmed is a highly skilled surgeon and I had a great outcome from the surgery. Secondly, Dr. Ahmed has a great bedside manner and clearly answered any questions that I had before the surgery. He clearly explained my options and the risks associated with both proceeding with the surgery and also postponing surgery for a later date. I would recommend Dr. Ahmed to anyone considering this surgery.

I was seeing doctor Azam for a new found cyst in my brain. After waiting for months to get an appointment, and then waiting 45 minutes during my appointment to see him, the time w him was around 7 minutes. I had a lot of questions but felt rushed and frankly felt uneasy after my visit. I was hoping to feel better. Other staff seemed helpful, but again we’re more worried about him than their patients.

BAd. His staff was more concerned about the doctor's vacation schedule than providing timely treatment. Appointments were not timely. He was going to do open brain surgery based on a 7-month old MRI, until he was told by his colleagues to do a current one. Surgery notes were not accurate. He didn't show up on time for appointments and then let his belligerent nurse take over. Don't bet your life on him.
