Petty Doctor Big Ego
I’ve been dealing with unresolved heart issues & health issues for over two years under Dr. Atallah’s care. Despite repeated testing, no progress was made. Recently, I suggested trying beta blockers due to their positive reviews, but he dismissed my concerns due to a side effect (erectile dysfunction) and instead recommended SSRIs and or benzos, which both have higher risks of adverse effects, addiction, and ED. He also insisted on redoing tests I had done six months ago to no avail. Frustrated by the lack of progress and his resistance to new approaches, I decided to consult an endocrinologist and requested a referral. After five unreturned calls over two weeks, I called again and was informed they will not provide a referral and told me that I was discharged from their care. If you’re seeking a doctor who listens and adapts, you might want to look elsewhere.

Very very bad. He strongly urged local doctors with privileges there (not as many as you would think) to refrain from offering a second opinion at Bethesda for my otherwise healthy dad. Was pushing hospice from Day One for a robust and lively 80-something who was managing well under the care of Dr. Sidky also in Boynton.
