Dr. Ayda Dashtaei, DO

Dr. Dashtaei is a very skilled general surgeon. I’ve had 2 unrelated robotic surgeries with her and she’s been one of my care providers in the inpatient setting. All went well under her care. Dr. Dashtaei has amazing bedside manner. Her calm demeanor really helps with the any anxiety that comes with surgeries and hospitalizations. She is patient. She takes the time to explain everything, and answer all questions. With her, I always feel heard and never rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Dashtaei.

Dr Dashtaei did a great job on my hernia repair using the Da Vinci robotic system. Recovery was quite easy, didn't even require pain medication. Bravo!

Dr Dashtaei is so incredibly considerate and kind. She did an amazing job with my surgery and took my concerns seriously. I’m 18 years old and this was my first surgery so I was a bit nervous but she calmed my nerves entirely as she was very easy to talk to throughout the entire process. She ensured that I was confident with the procedure and that all my questions were answered thoroughly. The surgery went perfectly and I owe it to her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering.

I encountered Dr. Dashtaei at an Apple Valley hospital. She left my appendix inside of me while it was inflamed, and refused to cut me open to remove the infected appendix. She said that she didn’t want to remove it because of the danger to my colon. A month later, the surgeons at Loma Linda said that the antibiotics I was on were simultaneously killing me and keeping me alive. When I tried reaching Dashtaei, she wouldn’t return my calls. I went septic a month after the encounter with Dashtaei. The doctors at Loma Linda couldn’t find the appendix anymore because the infection had torn through it. A year and a half later in May 2023, my appendicitis came back and I went to Lona Linda. There the doctors stated that they would have to perform the surgery that Dashtaei should have performed the first time. They removed part of my colon and intestine.

The doctor was everything I could have hoped for. My appendectomy was removed successfully and my recovery was great. She is a great communicator, compassionate and professional. If I ever need additional surgery I would choose her every time. Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr Dashtaei after having a biopsy at the Jean Mclaughlin Women’s Center. Her office is right next-door. She is a very caring, compassionate woman. I’m guessing in her 40’s. The office staff is also very helpful and compassionate. I would highly recommend her as a General surgeon.
