When my liver function indicators were abnormal, all he did was tell me to wait and observe. My indicators were significantly elevated at that time, yet he took no action to perform blood tests to determine the cause of the abnormal levels or refer me directly to a liver specialist. Instead, he had me wait. Later, when I returned to China for treatment, my rheumatologist reviewed the indicators and immediately arranged for my hospitalization to investigate further and provided liver-protective medication. Is it reasonable for a doctor to simply tell a patient to wait when there are abnormal indicators?
