He did a discectomy 25yrs ago no problems,My leg and foot recently went numb from another disc,couldn't walk.he scheduled emergency surgery within 48hrs ,I am walking completely normal.If you wait to long nerve damage is irreversible. NOT DRS FAULT! Thanks doc Ed

Dr Bernstein has been my surgeon for several years. He is the best and I would never let any other doctor operate on me. His staff is remarkable also.

Dr. Bernstein is a no nonsense, shoot from the hip, incredibly talented surgeon. He performed a Laminectomy/Discectomy on me at L4-L5 and after so many years of suffering from sciatica I am a new person. I am now 6 weeks post op, the muscles are a little sore, but the wretched pain traveling down my legs is gone, a feeling you can’t appreciate unless you have experienced this yourself. Not only is Dr. Bernstein a true professional, his staff made my wife and I feel like family.

Poor surgical result leaving me with permanent limitations. Poor follow-up post-surgery. I would post no stars if that option was offered.

This is the wort dr I have ever been to in my 40+ years alive. The dr is 45 minutes late for every single appointment even in an empty office. He has walked out of the exam room while I was in the middle of speaking several times. I had bad side effects from a medication he prescribed and he said he’s never heard of those side effects. A simple google search showed he is ignorant about the side effects of the medicine he prescribed. He has given me different conflicting diagnosesfor same problem

Ive had 3 cervical neck fusions done by Dr. Avi Bernstein with no regrets. I knew as soon as I met him that he was the right person and gained my trust as a doctor and his abilities. He was extremely patient, compassionate( especially when I came in crying from the pain), and never made me feel I was on a time limit. He eased my concerns & continues to provide excellent post surgery care with the same concern for you as a patient. He truly wants you to feel better.

Dr. Bernstein helped me tremendously. I couldn’t get off the couch, and I was told by other doctors there was nothing they could do for me. But after my surgery at the Spine Center I’m back at work and better than ever.

Dr Bernstein operated on my mother and had a great result. His explanation of procedures, assurances of pros and cons made us very comfortable with my elderly mother. His office staff arranged things for us and made all things simple. Highly recommend Dr Bernstein

Dr. Bernstein performed an ALIF on my L5-S1. He was the only surgeon of several who gave me several options and walked through the pros and cons of each. It was a frightening 5 hour surgery but he did a flawless job and I am still 100% pain free with zero mobility loss. The surgery was in 2007. If you are suffering from chronic back pain related to the lower or cervical spine, then I highly recommend Dr. Avi Bernstein. Use him for a consult if nothing else. Excellent surgeon!

Had an office visit due to neck pain from an auto accident. He sent me for an MRI, surgery was scheduled 10 days later, up and walking pain free the same day, went home the next day. No pain meds needed 6 hours post op. It's been 5 days now and still no pain and the problem is resolved. I wished I had done this 2 years ago instead of trying conventional treatments I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein

Dr. Bernstein was not convinced that I was having terrible pain and declared me at MMI (maximum medical improvement) six months after my work injury. My symptoms and pain were only increasing with physical therapy. No bIg surprise here, he was hired by my company's insurance company to do this evaluation so they could stop paying me. Luckily I saw a real doctor soon afterward and had the neck surgery that I needed all along. I was lucky not to be paralyzed.
