I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Yu.
Dr. Yu refused (twice) to reauthorize the use of my 2 oxygen devices (which I use regularly to assist my breathing) until my next appointment (a month away). This sent me into a panic. What do I do without this equipment!? No call from Dr. Yu, or his office, to explain the situation. Insensitive!!!His work is satisfactory, but nothing special. His office staff, according to ratings, is difficult to deal with. I mentioned this to him during our first meeting and he said it was difficult to get good help.I’ve decided to find another pulmonologist. There are plenty of other physicians that are more sensitive and customer oriented. You can do better elsewhere.

In the office, (8/6/20), I signed a release of records with the stipulation that the records be appropriate, i.e., germane and specific to the condition to which I am being seen and treated. (This document, unlike most, did not give the option to stipulate). I returned the completed signed document and the person at the desk proceeded to white-out what I had written on this - document. Thereby, altering the (signed) document. And, a clear indication that documents irrelevant to this specialty would be sought. I told her she had no right to alter a document which I had signed. I requested it back. A person came out (manager or supervisor she didn’t say) and said something by way of an excuse (?) or explanation (?) and inferred my being seen was contingent upon....I did sign another form (without the caveat/s). At that point, I was reeling from the behaviors - I was not thinking clearly. I will, in writing, rescind the authorization retroactively.

Dr. Yu is one the most thorough doctors I have met. He is very easy to talk to, explains everything so you understand your medical condition and his bed side manners can't be beat. I recommend Dr. Yu, he will take good care of you as he has with me.

Dr Yu has been treating me for 7 years. He always answers my questions and explains my condition in detail. He has a great beside manner. He monitors my condition regularly and helps where ever he can. If it were not for Dr, Yu I would probably be unable to function at any level by now. I have COPD and when I was first treated it was diagnosed as moderate to sever. Thank you Dr. Yu, you are the best!

DR Yu. and DR Issa attended my Mother when she was hospitalized with pneumonia. I was told he was a good physician so didn't question much of what he did at first but when I realized my Mother was getting worse and I asked him for information and was told to "leave them a lone and just let them do their job." A nurse said word was left my Mom would be fine then 2 hours later called saying she was dying. Neither DR EVER talked to me at all.
