I made my 'joint' appointment based on Dr. Ramme's extensive medical training and involvement with a variety of joint issues. Joint pain is new to me - this time I was sure the problem was rotator cuff and I dreaded hearing potential surgical remedy. When I met with Dr. Ramme I was immediately impressed by his calm, patient and unhurried manner. A careful listener with an open and thoughtful expression, he reminded me of a favorite TV personality, Mr. Rogers of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. All he lacked were cardigan and sneakers! Dr. Ramme reviewed my xrays and said he thought a cortisone shot would resolve his diagnosis of inflammation due to arthritis. And he was right. The injection was scheduled for a few days later. Instant relief....no shoulder joint pain within minutes. I live on a farm and need healthy shoulder joints for lifting and wrangling young animals - I am grateful to Dr. Ramme for hopefully making my senior farming years possible for a good long time. :) :)
