Dr. Auh Park, MD

Our child needed a biopsy and I'm so grateful for Dr. Park. He was kind and thoughtful, he answered every question with patience. He check on our daughter several times. Very compassionate and competent physician.

I went to Dr. Park in Sept, 2023 and he told me if all the test came back alright and the biopsy was Benign I was a good candidate for an Radiofrequency Ablation and it will be done before Christmas. In Nov. 1 I had all test done, in Nov. 13 I had everything ready to go as the Biopsy was Benign, however, this doctor, for whatever reason unknown to me to this day in March, abandoned me without a word. His team never called for an appt. to the promised procedure and he simply disappeared not taking any of my calls or responding to my appt. requests via My Chart. I reported him to the Medical Risk Management and I hope they will take some measures because he is seriously incompetent and careless

Please stray far away from this facility and Dr. Park and his so-called RFA ablation. This procedure IS NOT covered by 99% of healthcare insurance companies in the United States. The average cost of this procedure is anywhere from $11,000 to $22,000. We were quoted $22,000 from the hospitals billing department. Dr. Park and the UVA radiology department also are slow as molasses in planning and coordinating anything. There administration workers are like slugs and unresponsive. In addition, my wife was told this RFA procedure would be done, was scheduled and then a week before the actual procedure, it was canceled. Dr. Park also violates privacy regulations by using his personal email (a gmail account) and uses text messaging. Do not waste your time going to UVA and trying this procedure. You'd be better off flying to Korea and having the procedure done. In fact, doing so would be cheaper than going to UVA.
