Dr. Augustine Obi, MD

After waiting 15 minutes in the exam room DR Obi came in and scolded me for missing an injection I was to have done the previous month. He was rude, condescending and belittling. He never asked how I was, never asked any medical questions nor did he examine me. I left almost in tears. I later had a chance to read his after visit summary and Drs notes and was horrified to see that he lied about the whole appt. He said he examined me and even went into detail to describe and note physical attributes that he never assertained from our visit. He described the issues we discussed as if we had a conversation, which we never did, as he did all the talking and the visit lasted under 5 minutes yet his notes state that the visits lasted 20 minutes. His staff is horrible at returning phone calls and it took approximately another 3 month for them to schedule the injection that I had been reprimanded for failing to make earlier.

NOT RECOMMEND!!! He is so Rude and no personality! No trust in his decisions. A medicine that made absolutely no change in my A1C was not discontinued. I feel like I came up with my own plan of care. Waste of time.

I have changed doctors due to the lack of professionalism displayed in this office. I came in for a routine appointment and blood work. The next day, Dr. Obi’s nurse called me to inform me of a new diagnosis discovered in my bloodwork. OVER THE PHONE. I had to tell them that I needed an appointment to learn about my new diagnosis. When Dr. Obi walked in to the exam room, he almost acted surprised to see me. The nurses were more helpful in explaining my diagnosis than the doctor.

Had the spock of my life today. When to Doctor Obi office for my appointment today. Looked in the window office was empty. No pictures, no furniture nothing. Went next door to another doctors office and they told me he had close up and move to Sawsberry without letting any of his patients know. I had been going to him since 2000. My family doctor is now getting me trying to fine me a new doctor. I haven't had my new insulin pump that long and supposed to have a adjustment on it today. Dont go.

The "nurse"(front desk lady) dug in my arm to get blood while laughing she "doesn't do this often". (No gloves) I left in pain for days! Was told my labs would be back on Mon (this was Fri). Guess what?! A week later....NO CALL! Once I had to reschedule when I moved and it took them 2 WEEKS to call back...BUT, they would not refill my thyroid meds. One positive note...the nurse manager (or physician assistant??). The first lady I saw there. She was amazing!!! Others, bad bedside manner.

Wouldn't recommend this doctors office. Their staff is VERY unreliable. Dr. Obi is nice but I saw him once and decided to switch doctors.
