Dr Painchaud is a great doctor
Dr Painchaud is fantastic! The staff is very kind. Wait times used to be long but that has improved a lot recently. To be fair, the wait times were mostly due to the doctor spending as much time as necessary with high-need patients.

Dr. Painchaud is Wonderful
My mom has been seeing Dr. Painchaud for 12 years and she has been great with original diagnosis, medication management, and yearly evaluations. She stays updated on new medications and research in her field and shares info and suggestions with us. She also has a knowledgeable staff so when I call for a question I get an answer the same day. Other people have mentioned the wait time, but that has improved lately. I do know that she spends as much time as neccessary with each patient to make sure all questions are answered and no one feels rushed. We have learned to bring a book to read, no big deal. We actually travel over an hour to see her because my Mom moved 3 years ago and we did not want to switch doctors.

Wasted so much time with her.
Disgusted. Dealing with family member who has Parkinson's AND depression. Every time my mom said, "what about my depression?" Dr. Painchaud said, "That's not for me. That's for your psychiatry people." So we believed her, that it wasn't necessary for her to collaborate with psyche side of her care. When her psychiatrist asked me one day, "What does your neurologist say?" I told him she said to send it back to you," he was appalled. "Its very unfortunate when a specialist dismisses symptoms and defaults to someone else. The Parkinson's absolutely can cause an increase in depression and when the main chemical for happiness is dopamine, we are already at a disadvantage. Too much dopamine causes psychosis, not enough causes Parkinson's and in the middle is depression. This woman is horrible. Also, three times my parents went there, appointment card in my dad's pocket, they told them there was no appointment for them.

She is a very thorough practitioner who also listens well to all of your concerns. Takes the time to go over her thoughts with you and makes sure you understand the he reasoning behind the treatment plan/diagnostics. The only downside is the wait times are quite long( likely because she actually takes time with each patient)

Dr. Painchaud is a great doctor, I like her personality too- but the wait has been long every time and has recently gotten much worse ; this is the second time I've had to wait 1 1/2 hours, with someone else ahead of me still, and left without seeing her because I had other commitments. The office staff are very pleasant but you can see their frustration with the waits too.
