Negligent! Avoid at all costs
I had the misfortune of working with Dr. Rashid. She rarely returned phone calls and emails leaving me waiting for necessary medicines. Her care bordered on negligent. I am currently, 12 weeks pregnant. When I asked if my medication was safe to take she sent me a medical journal article. No further advice or assistance. I needed her medical expertise to tell me if the perscription she prescribed was safe for me and the baby. I am not a doctor and couldn’t interpret what she sent me. I had to wait a month for a second opinion, leaving me virtually stranded in limbo. She gave no advice on how to taper etc. When I told her a specialist had confirmed the medication was safe to take she responded that she wouldn’t put an order in at the recommended lower dose. She has left a current patient suffering from perinatal depression who is at severe risk for post partum at greater risk.
