Highly Recommend Dr. Kahn for SGB
I had my consultation with Dr. Kahn for the SGB procedure this week. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all my questions thoroughly. I felt very comfortable with having him perform my procedure to help me with my PTSD symptoms. I saw him again a couple days later for the actual procedure and he explained everything he was doing step-by-step. I was in great hands from start to finish. The nurses that placed my IV for the light sedation was very friendly and skilled. I had a great experience for my two times I've been a patient for Dr. Kahn. As a Registered Nurse myself, I highly recommend Dr. Kahn and his nurses. Thank you!

I have been going to Az Pain and Spine since 2014. At times there have been Drs that have left but it was by their choice... Maybe they decided to try a different specialty or go into the therapy side of pain management. Dr Khan is a wonderful doctor and cares a tremendous amount about his paitients. He does whatever he can to help you.

You only see Dr Khan on your first visit. I kept getting a different nurse than I was scheduled to see. One got my pain under control. The next visit a different nurse doesn't ask how the new meds worked but immediately reduced them. Then because my diabetes was out of control I tested positive for alcohol in the urine. They knew my diabetes was out of control. I asked that they test my blood. They wouldn't. Since then I still test positive in my urine but had my primary check my blood and its negative. Too late though because they sent me a letter refusing to treat me! I begged to get to talk to Khan. I was in tears! I was told I could get an appointment in 2 months! Before that time came I got the letter.

High turn over of providers and office staff. Too many patients. Never see him like when iffice 1st opened. Messages take forever to get a response. Policy changes without any notification. If he were to see and treat his current patients before taking on new ones I would recommend him BUT that doesnt happen.

I have been seeing Dr. Khan for 5 years and I am confused with some of the reviews I've read because I have never had any trouble seeing Dr. Khan, I have seen him several times even if it was not a procedure. He is very caring and does whatever it takes to keep his patients out of pain. I recommend him highly!!

Dr Khan himself is wonderful, but you never get to see him again after the initial consultation, UNLESS you are having a procedure done by him. Instead you ALWAYS see one of the Nurse Practitioners- of which I am now seeing the 4th one in the past 12 months- because all of them have left the practice. Also nearly all of the office staff have "turned over " , and in the past year I have experienced several mistakes on their part. If you do need a procedure done, he is booked up at least 6 Wks.

Did not tell me what to expect after treatments. Left me in horrible pain bu not explaining what could happen. Not taking per cautions like my other Doctors do in case I am in pain and can't get to them. I live 200 miles for the office that equals a 12 hour day driving to the office getting treated and something fast to eat and driving home. The keep telling me I have to come to the office to get a prescription. I don't know what I need except to be out of pain. Where is plan B for treatment?

I saw Dr. Khan for over a year, I should say I saw his assistants. The only time you see Dr. Khan is first visit and if they do a procedure. I have become so completely frustrated, the front desk staff is incompetent. Asked them to send information to another doctor and after 4 weeks, I finally picked it up and hand delivered it. They would claim over and over they had sent it and later learned that they have had the same problem for other patients from that office.

You sign a contract that says that they will manage all your prescriptions. Logically speaking, that is unwise. For example, are they endocrinologists and do they really understand the interactions with medicines in that field? I could go on, but suffice it to say that they messed with my medications and put me on the road to seizures. I called every day for the week to try to alert them that that was what was happening, to no avail.
