Dr. Asif Habib needs license revoked
I started seeing Dr Habib at least 11 years ago. I continue to go to him because the medication he was giving me was working for me . I went to the pharmacy like I do every month to pick up my medication and I was told Dr Habib had put a stop on my medicine, without warning, without offering an alternative med, with no advance warning and let me add this medication is addictive. This is not the type of medication that can be cut off abruptly. The receptionist at the office at Lansdowne Med Bldg is absolutely horrific. I don't say this lightly but unless you are black you are treated terrible. I called multiple times asking if Dr Habib would see me and explain to me why as there had never been a problem; receptionist stated no. Dr Habib did not remember from visit to visit why I was even there. I lost my entire family and every time I would walk into his office he would ask 'how is the family'. Dr Habib has caused harm. The first Oath a doctor takes is first Do no harm.

I did not have a pleasant experience at this psychiatrist’s office. It seems very unorganized. The forms are poorly printed and the office is not properly maintained. The “lobby” was very hot and stuffed. When I got in with the doctor, it was a 5 minute conversation and he didn’t even seem concerned about my mental health. He quickly wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way. Not to mention the $25 late/missed appointment fee when they don’t offer a reminder call, text, or email. This place is stuck in the 70s and needs a serious upgrade.

Horrible experience with Dr. Habib, would not recommend! Very out of date on his knowledge, a horrible listener, condescending, and just plain rude. Do yourself a favor and find a better doctor.

In 2018 I went with my mentally challenged brother and his group home manager to meet Dr. Habib as a new doctor for my brother. I was fine with his previous doctor but as he had recently moved from his prior group home of 20 years to a new home, I thought I would consider this doctor that the manager had suggested. I was happy to escort my brother and give the new doctor history and discuss his current medications that were causing him distress. He did not want to discuss anything about my brother, nor did he give him the courtesy or respect to acknowledge him because of his inability to communicate. I was stunned that any doctor could dismiss both of us and only focus on a binder full of scripts to continue giving him medications that were causing his health to decline. After taking this concern to a public administrator I was able to have him return to his prior doctor and get him off of the disabling medications. This treatment was completely unacceptable.
