I saw Dr. Ruparelia today for a routine visit for minor ENT issues that have bothered me over the years, as I am past-retirement age. I've seen my share of doctors and come from a physician family; I must say that Dr. Ruparelia is unusually knowledgeable and, moreover, he listens, and he takes the time needed—to explain, educate, whatever is needed—with his patient. I highly recommend Dr. Ruparelia!

Dr. Ruparelia is an outstanding doctor!
He is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and warm; I never got the sense he was rushing me out the door. Dr. Ruparelia was able to distill his brilliance and explain the human ear to me in terms I understood—and yet he was also honest about what the medical community still *doesn't* know. I think he is truly superb at what he does, and we're lucky to have him in Ithaca!

I found Dr. Ruparelia impatient, dismissive and irritable. Obviously he's bored and doesn't like his work. I'd stay clear of him. Also the way they test hearing is primitive, it feels like a throwback to the previous century.

I recently saw him and he was by far the worst doctor I’ve ever been treated by. He did not take all of my symptoms into account and dismissed my concerns (which could have been life threatening). He was rude to me and extremely unprofessional; basically pushing me out of the office. He is a doctor that does not actually care about his patients or their concerns.

I saw him for a condition requiring sinus surgery. When I sought a second opinion, I got a copy of the record of my office visit with him. It said that he examined my neck and ears which he did not do (and should have since there was an indication of possible cancer in sinus) and that he discussed risks of surgery and non-surgical options (which he did not do). False info then becomes part of my medical record. Really? How long does it take to check neck and ears?

I went to Dr. Ruperelia in early April for obstruction of my sinuses. After a CT scan and another consultation, I felt confident and scheduled the surgery for earlier this month. Dr. Ruperelia had a lot on his plate in removing the inflammation and pathology from my sinuses but was able to accomplish the surgery in a quick and effective fashion. After the recovery, I feel like I can breath 100% better and I appreciate all he's done for me.
