Dr. Ashok Vaswani, MD

Dr. Vaswani is an even tempered and patient doctor. He knows the ins and outs of not only endocrine bloodwork, but insurance. I went to him based on the recommendations of people on a Hashimotos site and if you want a doctor who believes in traditional medicine, go to him. If you want a physician who will cure your hashis or decrease your antibodies with alternate treatments, he is not the one. Although frequently out of town, his secretaries will assist you with queries you may have.

Dr Vaswani helped me after my bone marrow transplant. He is attentive and thoughtful. He insisted that I use only the purest forms of both the medicine for the hypothyroidism my transplant gave me, and for the osteoporosis and osteopenia caused by all the chemo, radiation, and steroids. My bones are good as new—I’m running half marathons—and my thyroid is a non-issue; just a pill I take with my vitamins. His dedication to only the best meds for the job are part of why I feel strong and healed.

Do not go to this doctor - he prescribed high dose of thyroid medicine (unithroid) MISTAKENLY - 4 other doctors reviewed my records since - I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY THYROID. I should never have been prescribed this. This medicine shot my blood pressure so high I ended up in emergency room with a retinal artery occlusion - I now have permanent partial blindness because of Vaswani's incompetence. STAY AWAY FROM HIM HE IS DANGEROUS, THYROID MEDS HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. He should be put away

Dr. Vaswani is a very caring doctor. He took as an emergency patient when I found out I had a thyroid issue and newly pregnant 16 years ago.. jen is a wonderful doctor and I highly recommend him..

Dr. Vaswani is a wonderful, caring doctor. I was diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis and he took all my worries away. He also went the extra mile to get my insurance to approve a semi-annual injection, as opposed to daily pills, that they surely would have denied. I highly recommend Dr. Vashwani.

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2006. Dr. Vaswani has been my endocrinologist since that time. He is a highly knowledgeable physician and is willing to spend time answering any questions you may have. Some advice -- make sure that you come prepared to ask any/all questions that you may have. Dr. Vaswani is always willing to answer your queries, and he does so in a way that is easy to understand. But, he may not proactively explain things if you have no questions.

Great Doctor who listens and stresses PREVENTIVE medicine. Was extremely helpful in getting things back on track with me when I was referred to him by my GP.

Dr. Vaswani is a great doctor. The most important he is very knowledgeable. I went through so many endocrinologists and he is the one I have stuck? with. Sometimes you have to wait, so what? I will always remember my first appointment, he gave me about 40 min of his undivided attention, explain everything to me, even drew a little picture so I could understand what is going on with me. If you have questions, call the office and let them know. Dr. Vaswani will call you back.?

Dr. Vaswani is very thorough. He really listens to your concerns and symptoms.

Dr. Vaswani is an ok doctor as long as you just let him do the talking and nod your head in aggreance with him. He has questioned and pressured my religious beliefs which I felt to be extremely unprofessional and unwarranted. I was able to find the right thyroid med with him. He is constantly out of the office on trips to India for weeks at a time and is unreachable for dosage changes or refills. Office staff hangs up on patients numerous times then turns on the automated voicemail.
