IR cancer procedure
In April of 2024 I was diagnosed with Liver Cancer, caused by Hepatitis C. I was recommended to Dr Bhanushall by a surgeon who didn't want to operate on my cancer because of it's size and location. In my first meeting with Dr. Bhanushall I was impressed with his ability to explain my issue and describe how he would proceed. His confidence was contagious and I agreed to have the IR treatments. The first was in June and after two trips to Geisinger's IR department he told me he got to most of the cancer and it would take 3 months to determine the results. In September my MRI showed remarkable results with a small amount of cancer left, just as the doctor predicted. In October I went in again and in a difficult procedure, because of the remaining cancer's location Dr Bhanushall told he he had success and most likely got the rest of the cancer. In February my wife and met with the doctor I had the wonderful that news the cancer was gone! Every part of my experience was excellent.
