My Family is healthier thanks to Dr. Asha Vijayakumar. Dr. Vijayakumar looks at our entire health record, asks questions to clarify, orders a test for anything suspicious or chronic, congratulates on resolved issues, and is most assuring that the best outcome is the goal. Dr. Vijayakumar follows-up on test results with a personal phone call, either 'all clear' or recommendation for a better look, 'just to be sure.' We are so lucky to have Dr. Vijayakumar looking after our family!

I have been seeing Dr Vijaykumar for over 4 years and she is a very thorough doctor. She takes time to listen and review my health at every appointment. She has made numerous referrals and they have all been great doctors.

I am not really sure how this MD has the reviews she has because my experience with her has been difficult. I work in healthcare and unfortunately suffer from chronic conditions. She looked at my problem list in EPIC and told me 'you have a lot of problems for someone so young.' I am aware of this and I found it rude because these problems are not in my control. When I asked about taking a medication for an ear issue that i have taken in the past many times, she called me and told me I needed to get diagnosed with the condition even though it was already in my chart? When I started to ask questions, she cut me off and hung up. Extremely disappointing experience and this is coming from someone who works in healthcare.

I really like Dr. Vijayakumar. She listens to me and asks follow up questions. I never feel rushed. She always reviews my chart and follows up on concerns I may have had at previous appointments. I would highly recommend her.

I have chronic health issues and have seen MANY doctors in my life but Dr. Vijayakumar is, by far, the absolute worst doctor I have ever had. She refuses to listen to all of my symptoms, laughed at me for asking her how to address my long list of symptoms with her (since appointments are only 15 minutes long), completely ignored some of the symptoms I have told her about, doesn’t take time to read my chart, forgets things a lot, doesn’t seem to care about patients on Medicaid, and employs front desk staff who aren’t taking masking seriously (I’m high risk for COVID and deserve to be protected at my doctors office. WORST DOCTOR EVER.

Dr. Vijayakumar has been my GP for some years now. I have never failed to find her competence and personal style lacking in professionalism. I trust in her analysis, conclusions and treatment. Two years ago I retired and moved to Arizona. I value her competence to such a degree that I continue to travel to Chicago specifically for her care and advice.

Absolutely the best doctor I have ever seen. I had to get an echocardiogram done and as soon as the results came back, Doctor gave me a call and went through all the measures i have to take. Dr Asha always takes time to listen to my concerns and also gives adequate care.
