Worst experience I’ve ever had.
I’ve had nothing but billing problems with this office since I started treatment. They don’t ever seem to know what’s going on. The person I need to talk to is never there. The hours are horrible for simple things. Do not recommend

Professional & Patient oriented.
My first visit with Dr. Shah lasted an hour. So refreshing that he not only got to know my medical history but wanted to get to know me! Knowledgeable, professional & highly competent. So refreshing from the typical corporate medicine that now is so prevalent (wait 2 months for an appointment then a max of 15 minutes of the Dr’s time.

I have mental illness and Dr. Shah is great! He understands, says nothing when I panic or get anxious other than kind informative things. He brought me from a life of horrible chronic pain into a tolerable window and he is not done yet. I just love him. And I can find doctors I see for physical illness sometimes hard to deal with along with my mental stuff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shah for nearly twenty years. Recently, I came to him for pain related issues and he gave me a referral to see a specialist. When I got to the specialists office they want to photo copy my driver's license and I told them I didn't feel comfortable allowing them to do that. Without hesitation or any other possible solution they just said they would see me, end of story. So I called Dr. Shah's office asking for help and after a week of no return calls after leaving a number of voice messages was treated by the office staff like I was a problem patient. It's been over three weeks and I am still in pain and feel as though I have been abandoned by the Doctor I had given my business to for nearly 20 years.

Dr Shah himself is GREAT, just don't use them for a sleep study as Alex the DME is very inexperienced, her skills are getting the paperwork done to sell you the machine and the on going supplies and thats it. She does no fit up, no really hook up of the machine thats on you to figure out at home on your own. If you have a question or problem it takes weeks for her to call back and if you don't show that you been using the machine you lose it. You need a experience sleep facility and a DME whos experience, not a DME who's only knowledge is the paperwork side of the process. Just to note, I'm a certified scuba diver of 40 years wearing a mask is second nature to me, ive had problems with my CPAP machine and Alex offers zero support on actual use, hence why you need to go to an experience sleep facility

Very smart doctor and knew how to handle my complicated history. When I was in the hospital, he saw me there and not some unknown doctor I've never seen before. Also, when I called the office once I got a voicemail, but they called me back within a couple minutes!

Mainly, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a human on the phone here. I was kept on hold for 18 minutes trying to make an appointment. I talked to Dr Shah about this and was led to believe he would take care of it. Well, I called last week....NO HUMAN ANSWERED THE PHONE!!!!! Also, my first visit to the Sycamore location, I waited for 45 minutes, they lost my file from the desk and asked me who I was 5 times! Shame on the office staff here and shame on you Dr Shah for not fixing this.

Be cautious of this MD. A pt. of his for several years I was advised by another MD that he has the largest practice in the area. Why this MD gave me this info confused me until recently. I am on Medicare and this does not pay well. I have multiple complicated problems and used to receive quality care. That no longer exists. Phone calls to him go unanswered. What was once a valued pt/MD relationship has deteriorated to mediocre care. If you have lots of med. issues & Medicare, go elsewhere.

If you don't want to buy into his weight-loss program, Dr. Shah has no interest in caring for you. It's likely he will even recommend you lose weight when you are at a normal BMI, such as in my case. I've never been less satisfied with a doctor in my life. Run away!
