Dr. Ramappa is Amazing!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ramappa! My son tore his ACL and needed surgery. Dr. Ramappa (and his care team) were thorough, caring and attentive during the entire process. I also really appreciated the emotional support he showed my teenage son. I researched and inquired about many different doctors...Dr. Ramappa met and exceeded all of our expectations.

Would definitely recommend Dr. Ramappa
This is the second time I have sought an orthopedist for my meniscus issue. The first one (I don't think I can name other names in a Healthgrades review but see if you can find my other review) was completely useless and overcharged my insurance by a huge margin. This was a far better experience. I felt like he listened, did an actual exam (the first guy didn't even examine my knee) had the right answer, and explained everything. I will be proceeding to my surgery with him and will report back.

Fantastic Doctor AND Care team!!
Dr. Arun Ramappa did an ACL allograft reconstruction with a meniscus repair last year. It was a work of art; the whole process from start to finish was thought through. The prep, the surgery and post op care, follow-up, rehab, everything was so well very streamlined. All the information needed is provided, of course the patient has to follow the advice and do the rehab! I highly recommend Dr. Ramappa and his care team. Thank you! You took patient care to another level!

A terrific shoulder repair
Dr. Arun Ramappa did an outstanding job repairing my supraspinatus muscle to the bone and reconnecting my bicep tendon that was hanging by a thread. I knew he was the right surgeon after I met him, and I found him knowledgeable, caring, and totally skilled! I am forever grateful for what he did and my shoulder is stronger and more flexible then ever before.

I had surgery and Dr. R did a solid job technically, but does not care about his patients. My post op pain was not managed at all and when I requested help he disregarded the request and said this surgery hurts. Subsequently, I had a pain consult with another doc for appropriate management. I was never offered the cold shoulder wrap, even though he had written a prescription for it, he had never told me. I requested a recommendation for a physical therapist and was told to call anyone on the list. At 6 months I still could not move my arm and it was then, after another request, that he recommended someone who could help me. Do not waste your time with this man. He does not care about you.

My experience was amazing from the start to the end. Dr. Ramappa and Jessica Manty his PA were top notch. The day of surgery the team of nurses who where assigned to me took great care of me and made me feel so comfortable. The anesthesiologist was great on explaining how and what to expect. He made me feel very comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. I would recommend New England Baptist Hospital of Dedham to my family and friends without reservations! Once more great appreciation and thanks to Dr. Ramappa and Jessica Manty. God bless you both! Sincerely, Paul DeCologero

I visited Dr. Ramappa for a torn ACL. tl;dr - extremely competent surgeon who cares about his patients! I had a few preoperative visits before getting surgery several weeks ago. I only had to wait ~5-10 minutes at each visit which is amazing, as some orthopedists can make you wait an hour. The appointment itself is not long (~10min) but Dr. Ramappa answered all my questions and gave me additional useful information. When planning surgery, he walked me through the different options I had and the reasons he recommended a specific one. He even took the time to recommend some things for recovery, including a particular ice machine which proved to be really helpful. The operation itself was very smooth and professional. The entire team at NEBH (nurses, PA, anesthesiologist, ...) was very friendly and made me feel comfortable as I was stressed about getting my first surgery ever. Recovery has been much better than I expected!! Thank you, Dr. Ramappa, for performing such a great operation!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Ramappa today for a large meniscus tear (actually 2 tears). Dr Ramappa is friendly, comfortable to be with, answered all of my questions in depth and he was in no rush to get in and out. He prescribed PT for me to try, before moving forward with injections or discussing surgery. I felt satisfied leaving the office and I know that I am in great hands. GO TO DR RAMAPPA!
