Do NOT recommend!
Per the website Dr. Castro is one who is compassionate and caring. On the 1 appointment I went to, I received the absolute opposite. I was so excited to meet this Dr. however, when I was there I left in tears, feeling bullied, unheard and dismissed. I do NOT at all recommend.

Would not recommend
Completely underwhelmed by Doctor and PA. Newly diagnosed and neither seem to have competent answers, seemed an inconvenience for them to even be asked. No pamphlets, no explanations, no distinguishable concern. Wasn’t thrilled after my first visit, but thought I would follow through in case it was a bad day. Knew immediately after that 2nd visit I needed to find another Doctor asap. Saw a new endocrinologist this week and it was night and day difference and why I decided to write a review. I would now call Dr Castro and his PA Incompetent.

Dr. Castro is a great physician! If it wasn't for this endocrinologist, I don't know what I would do. The medical/nursing staff and office staff are super nice and listen to my concerns. I'm a type 2 diabetic and have been there numerous times, I don't have any complaints. They also take COVID precautions seriously, which I appreciate.

I had been seeing Dr. Castro for about one year. Office staff has high turnover rate. Majority of them do not seem happy to be working there and it reflects in the way they interact with patients. The Dr. ordered many blood tests and other MRI’s over the course of a year. I wanted to get a Constant Monitoring Devise and he said his staff was working it through my insurance. That never was the case. My insurance had no record of his office requesting one. I changed providers since Dr. Castro was very condescending, didn’t listen to my concerns, and generally, not very nice as the same for his staff. My new GI Dr is personable has a great staff who got me a CMD within a week of my first meeting and within a month, my AIC is the best it has ever been. I can’t recommend Dr. Castros practice based upon my year long experience with him with poor results.

Very disappointing 1st meeting! My appt was @ 3pm, didn’t even get in the room until 3:53, no introduction. He plops in a chair & 1st thing is says in “why are you here”? Never examined me, I had 4 sets of bloodwork w/me that he never asked to see. He asked what my symptoms were, but would not let me finish a sentence. Very rude, condescending & I felt like me being there was a bother. He was in my room for less than 10 mins & just ordered more labs. Waste of my time, for sure!!!

After meeting Dr Castro for the first time, he let me know what his game plan was and what he wanted from me. I have been going to the Dr for close to 6 months and couldn't feel better. As I was ready to go to insulin he wanted to give his plan a try and I am so thankful he did as my sugar is getting back on track and my severe foot nephropathy is starting to feel better. Dr Castro staff is also fantastic! They make you feel welcome, they listen, they have always been more than helpful when you are in need and they genuinely seem very happy when a treatment seems to work. I am so glad that I see Dr Castro and his staff. I only wish I would have come sooner!!
