Very poor visit. I came in after receiving two other doctors initial indications that my prostate started to enlarge causing me to go to the bathroom at least 4 times per night. I wasn’t thrilled with the previous two, so I went to LIJ (dr Smith) thinking I was getting an upgrade. How wrong was I. He came in the room with a huge attitude and proceeded to insist (in a condescending fashion) that my unsteady piss stream (from the piss flow test I just took) was due to me being an uptight yuppie type. How freakin absurd!! Other docs told me my prostate was swollen and dr smith insisted my issue was due to my generations high level of anxiety. I was 50 at the time of the visit, so I remain perplexed to the day how this doc (within the first 30 seconds of seeing me and knowing nothing about me) concluded I was a victim of my top problemed generation and lumped me in with the masses of other patients. I think it’s time for him to retire and not waste anyone else’s time like he wasted mine.
