Poor Coordination and Impersonal Experience
Telehealth
She didn’t listen to me. I mentioned three specific tests twice, but only two were submitted despite reminders and her saying “yes” during the telehealth visit. There was also confusion around my virtual request—she called instead of using video. I didn’t mind that, but it reflected the overall lack of attention. The focus was on prescribing laxatives instead of addressing the root cause or trying nutrition-based strategies, which didn’t make sense. Why take meds for months before exploring food or gut issues? She was responsive, but the failure to follow through on agreed tasks felt dismissive and careless. Lastly, I don’t care about hearing “happy birthday,” but my PCP did say it—and it reminded me how impersonal this entire experience was, from the missed video visit to the office not completing lab orders.
