Dr. Ariel Antezana, MD

My daughter has used this dr. for a very rare disease. She is very sick. We, me & 2 of my daughters have left messages...The nurses never return phone calls. My daughter had been hospitalized 2 times in the last 2 months for a week at a time. He never even showed up at all. We are considering Shreveport to get her medically taken care of.

This doctor MAY be a good doctor, but he overbooks his patient schedule and has trouble keeping up with and following through with what he recommends. The wait to see him was one hour. He seemed to listen, answer questions, and examine in an appropriate manner. He forgot to call in the meds he prescribed; you cannot talk to anyone in his office by phone (leave message, but don’t expect return call). Four days later the pharmacy called and said they finally got his prescription. The person who runs the tests he wants only comes in one day a week, so those tests were scheduled 3 months out. You could very pass away before you find out what diagnosis Dr. Antezana comes up with! NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Dr. dismissed all of my concerns, did not follow through with results of testing or explanations of results, referrals, prescriptions. If you have Huntington's do not see him. Extremely unfamiliar with the disease and refuses to treat with any medications for it. His staff is excellent.

Dr. A is very thorough. I was extremely pleased with his demeanor and knowledge.

I started seeing Dr. Antezana in 2017 and almost immediately he ran test and started me on a different medicine. I believe that he is one of the greatest Dr’s that I have ever seen. I thank God daily for him and wouldn’t want to see another dr for my condition. I would recommend him to anyone.

He sat and listened to my headache experiences patiently and questioned me on what other medications I've tried before. After we took the time to go over those things and a general reflex test he recommended the Botox injections for my migraines, which I am greatly looking forward to. He's very professional and gentle, and knows what he's talking about. My PCP and friends that sent me here did a good job!

DR. Antezana is a very knowledgable doctor, who listens to and cares about his patients. He does not just rush you in and out without getting to the bottomof the problem. He is very courteous and his staff is awesome. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a neurologist.
