Lied on hospital notes after failed procedure
My husband was hospitalized at Baylor Mckinney for a pancreatic pseudo aneurysm. Dr. Shirvani was assigned to his case by the hospital. He did not examine my husband and explained procedure by a phone call. Procedure failed as he could not reach the aneurysm. He suggested that my husband be discharged and return the following week, so he could reattempt embolization. He clearly stated that there was no danger to my husband to wait. We were able to get his case reviewed by Interventional Radiology at Baylor Dallas, who arranged for a transfer by ambulance to their facility, where a successful procedure was performed. They concluded that this was a very large aneurysm and that if it ruptured the consequences would have been very serious. I would have let this go until after I realized that Dr. Shirvani had dictated false pre procedure visit notes. He never checked my husband prior to surgery and never stated that the procedure might not be successful, as he has stated.

My husband required unexpected surgery and was referred to Dr. Shirvani....couldn't have been more fortunate. I am a retired healthcare professional and was impressed with not only the care my husband received but the attention Dr. Shirvani paid to family members, he was patient, answered questions and actually listened to my husband and myself.
