Dr. Aram Jawed, MD

Dr. Jawed has operated on me three times, and each time he took great care of me. He performed a VSG on August 24, 2021. I lost over 100 pounds from that surgery, but then had to have a hiatal hernia repair on November 13, 2023. Unfortunately, my acid reflux continued to be a problem so he performed a gastric bypass revision on November 4, 2024 at JFK University Medical Center. It was a new hospital for me and he did it robotically. I live over an hour away from Edison, NJ, but Dr. Jawed is worth the trip. He's very knowledgeable and because of him I have lost over 127 pounds!! I almost don't recognize myself because I am the lightest I've ever been and for the first time ever I wore skinny jeans! I'm happy, healthy, and my life has forever been changed thanks to Dr. Jawed!

I had surgery done @ 18 months ago and lost a lot of weight. No problems at all with the surgery, the whole process went smoothly. Dr. Jawed does what is best for YOU. He is very understanding of what situation you are in.Recently, I had a Hiatal Hernia (which he diagnosed) and got me quickly into surgery as it was affecting my weight. He is very personable and professional. Would definitely recommend him for weight loss surgery!

Dr Jawed performed a hernia repair less than two weeks ago. Hearing from others who had the same type surgery done by other doctors I was worried about the pain a recovery time as my job is physically demanding. I was truly impressed by the professionalism of Dr Jawed and his team. From the office visit to the staff at St Claires it was smooth as silk. Very friendly staff and Dr Jawed is truly masterful at the robotic surgery. My pain was minimal if at all and after following his guidelines I healed exactly as he said I would. What was expected to be an anxious & painfull experience turned out to be very routine. I can't thank Dr Jawed and his staff enough.

This man changed my life! I had many health issues from high blood pressure to pre-diabetes. He performed surgury on me in December. I was over 200 lbs and I am now in the 150's. His knowledge is amazing. He has the best bedside manner. He actually cares. He is my favorite doctor ever. He has given me a new life. I have more energy, am more confident and off some of my meds. I would not trust anyone but him with my sleeve. He also performed a hiatal hernia repair. I have not been this happy since I was a teenager. My bloodwork has been excellent. Dr. Jawad is not only a wonderful surgeon, but a wonderful human! He is full of knowledge and very personable. It’s so important to chose a surgeon who knows what they’re doing.. he helped ease my anxiety about having VSG done and thank god because I have never been happier! I have not had any complications. His staff is also so wonderful. The schedulers, benefit ladies, nurses, etc. - everyone is just super super kind.
