We saw Dr. April Kristen Palumbo-Rasch, MD at Moses Cone Emergency Department in High Point. She was extremely unprofessional, unpleasant, and had absolutely no compassion. She barely looked at our patient and did the bare minimum, no hands on, she did not do any type of physical exam, did not listen to heart/breathing, nothing was done after waiting 4 hours. She advised us to use OTC medication which we had already done for many days. Unfortunately you do not get to chose who you see in the emergency room however if you are put with Dr. April Kristen Palumbo-Rasch, MD I would highly recommend asking for another provider immediately. We will never return to this facility.

Horrible Doctor. Please request someone else!
Went in the ER for extreme vomiting/dehydration. There was no wait, however I had to wait 3 hours for this lady to enter, tell my I am having a panic attack and I need to “calm down” my wrist were locked in position and my hands would not move, I also could not walk. She then proceeds to tell me I am “ doing this to myself”. She put me out of the ER after having a few choice words with her. I will be reporting her as well as one of my nurses to the board today. Please save yourself the trouble…. I was treated so horribly and this was by far my worst experience with a doctor. To be so scared and have your doctor tell you that you are about to pass out without any compassion. She should not be a doctor. She should be in a profession that does not require her to interact with people at all, let alone people in such a vulnerable position.

Dismissive, condescending and rude in her interactions with patients and other staff. So focused on sounding authoritative that she talks over people who are trying to explain the medical problem. A terrible listener, and unpleasant to interact with.
